Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic codes.
Must have a valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.

We are seeking a self-starting Mobile Trailer/Truck Mechanic with comprehensive experience in all aspects of trailer/Truck repair. This role involves regular travel to customer and prospective client locations, requiring adherence to all road signs and safe vehicle operation within limits and weather conditions. The pay range for this position is between $17.00 and $21.00 per hour guaranteed based on experience. Flat rate between $21 and $35.00 per hour.
Responsible for the efficient, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Guest's vehicles, the Automotive Technician position is a great way to start your career at Monro. Starting day 1 you will begin a comprehensive Technician training program, covering all aspects of your new role, while preparing you for the next. Inspect, diagnose, and repair lighting and electrical systems; identify shorts, open circuits, and faulty components (certification is a plus).
Conduct air brake system inspections and repairs, including brake overhauls, slack adjuster replacement, relay valve servicing, and S-cam/bushing replacements.
Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts
Measure brake lining thickness and assess condition of drums and air tanks to determine service needs.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair lift-gate and rail systems; adjust hydraulic platforms and controls, and replace motors, pumps, cables, and cylinders (certification is a plus).
Safely operate vehicles and equipment while adhering to all road rules and environmental conditions.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management in alignment with dealership goals and service standards.
Perform routine housekeeping duties related to tools, materials, shop, and work areas.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a trailer technician or related heavy-duty repair role.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with trailer electrical, lighting, and air brake systems.
Certifications in electrical or hydraulic systems are a plus.
Possession of a starter set of tools and a rolling toolbox at time of hire.
Strong understanding of vehicle safety, DOT procedures, shop protocols, and the use of appropriate tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment and follow safety procedures at all times.
