The Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relate to the maintenance and service of vehicles. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Supports the mission, core values and customer service of Home Dialysis Services & Dialysis Care Center, LLC (HDS/DCC).Adheres to the HDS/DCC Policies and Procedures and Compliance Program including all state and federal regulatory requirements. The Biomed Technician is responsible for delivery, set up, troubleshooting and maintenance of all Dialysis machines and water treatment systems. PRIMARY DUTIES / ACTIVITIES: Repairs and maintains dialysis machines, R.O. water systems and provides support documentation. Performs electrical safety assurance and performance testing on all dialysis machines and related electrical equipment Monitors R.O. system and log sheet, on a monthly basis, for completeness and accuracy, noting any deviations from normal standards Performs monthly biomedical audit and documents findings to ensure that dialysis staff are following company policies and procedures. When notified, participates in on-site ESRD surveys and inspections by state and federal surveyors Participates and presents as a member of each facility's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Complete Biomed section of QAPI log Orders and maintains appropriate parts inventory for all equipment serviced. Help with stocking and arranging treatment supplies in stock room. Discusses equipment maintenance problems with the CNM, CAA, and Regional Biomed Lead Comply with company policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations for patient care and services (CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other governing agencies). Other duties, as assigned. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Responsible for supporting the values and customer service standards of HDS/DCC. Accountable for outstanding customer service to all staff, clients and vendors Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication. Conduct visual inspections during routine walks for sprinklers, fire alarms, fire hoses, fire risers, fire pumps, water tanks, and fire extinguishers. Work alongside third-party contractor to coordinate required functional testing. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop and drill emergency response plans. Communicate with local AHJ for ongoing projects and inspections required for permitting (i.e., temporary certificate of occupancy, certificate of occupancy). Support the development of new technologies for battery thermal response. Partner with SME's within EHS to gain support and alignment across varying projects, issues, and daily operating needs. Participate in shift briefings, team objectives, best practices, and priority changes. Monitor and respond to fire and life safety alarms and dispatch appropriate resources. Maintain coherence within EHS systems in Excel, Smartsheet, Jira Ticketing System, and 3rd-party software's. Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends, if needed. You Bring: High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years' experience in fire sprinkler/fire alarm installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance. 2+ years' experience in firefighting and emergency response. First aid and CPR certified. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across various levels of the organization. Computer proficiency in MS Office applications and database management systems; with ability to chart data and present performance status to business. Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and/or walk for 10+ hrs. daily and climb stairs Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in fire science, engineering, or related EHS field. Job Purpose This position will be responsible for conducting material tests and writing reports on components submitted to the Materials Laboratory of traditional and electric driveline and motor products for light and commercial vehicle markets. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Operate bandsaw and abrasive cutting saws, grinding and polishing equipment, digital cameras and microscopes, spectrometer and other analytical equipment such as hardness testers, tension-compression equipment and other advanced analytical equipment. * Perform routine and non-routine materials and failure analysis related to manufacturing, product, supplier and customer concerns * Interpret and summarize test results, observations and photographs in a formal laboratory report * Become proficient with laboratory equipment and test methods (e.g. hardness testing, microscopes, scanning electron microscope (SEM/EDS), mechanical testing, spectrometer, FTIR, x-ray diffraction, environmental testing, etc). Examples of tests that may be performed: include mechanical properties of metallic and non-metallic materials, hardness, chemistry, environmental testing, x-ray diffraction and other miscellaneous tests) * Learn, and apply, basics of Dana products, including design, specifications, function, materials and testing of various Dana components * Learn, and apply, materials and materials processing used on Dana components * Use hand tools and measuring tools * Maintain laboratory equipment, equipment verifications, calibrations and housekeeping * Responsible for completing other engineering projects as assigned Qualifications Desired: * High school diploma required. Discusses equipment maintenance problems with the CNM, CAA, and Regional Biomed Lead Comply with company policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations for patient care and services (CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other governing agencies).
