ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Support and contribute to the work of the Risk Department specifically assuming duties including the following:
* Review loan applications flagged for increased risk of synthetic identity theft, traditional identity theft, Bust Out and other forms of fraud
* Conduct detailed analysis of high-risk applications, including verification of customer information, document validation, and analysis of third-party fraud detection tools
* Utilize fraud scoring systems and internal data to identify patterns and red flags indicative of identity theft
* Collaborate with the Underwriting team to provide insights and recommendations on applications with heightened fraud risk
* Perform thorough background checks and research using public records, credit reports, and other relevant sources to assess the legitimacy of applicant information
* Stay current on emerging fraud trends and techniques, particularly in synthetic identity fraud, and update procedures and analysis techniques as necessary
* Review EPD and FPD charge-offs for potential buyback and understanding of current fraud trends/exposure
* Document findings and maintain detailed case files on investigated applications for audit and reporting purposes
* Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance fraud detection at the front-end of the application process
* Assist in the development and implementation of training materials and fraud awareness programs for underwriters and other relevant teams
* Report to senior management on key fraud trends, patterns, and mitigation strategies
* Assist in reviewing transactions and basic trend analysis to detect suspicious patterns.
* Assist in preparing case summaries, documentation, and reports used by management for decision-making.
* Follow fraud mitigation procedures and support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

* Support Post Termination Inventory Management Coordinators who serve as liaison between MBFS and MBUSA supporting timely transportation and sale of post termination inventory. Monitor and complete post-term reports for inventory resolution to maintain regulatory and internal compliance requirements as well as service level agreements. Provide support in facilitating meetings and collaboration with all stakeholders (MBFS, MBUSA, Transport, Repo Vendors) to identify solution to trends and systematic issues that prevent efficient and timely processing of inventory. Performs other projects or special assignments as required. (10%)
* Execute forecasting and training strategy with on-site team and vendor. (10%)
* Provide account handling feedback and direction to vendor derived from account
reviews, listening to customer calls and reviewing available service level reports.
Ensure department goals are achieved including metrics for productivity and quality. (20%)
* Ensure vendor and on-site team are compliant with all MBFS procedures and
are following guidelines established within the training material. Conduct
regular compliance audits. Present findings with recommendations and solutions
outlined with follow up in place for any action items. (15%)
Qualifikationen
Qualifications:

The Collector I - Wholesale Accounts is responsible for the management and collections of a business-to-business accounts receivable portfolio. Who would I interact with? Interacts with internal and external customers at various levels, cash application team, credit team, supervisor and management.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
* Contact customers and arrange payment to bring receivable customer balances within acceptable guidelines and/or under existing credit limits.
* Recommend accounts for 3rd party collections or write off when all collection efforts are exhausted.
* Work closely with internal stores to keep accounts current and maintain open lines of communication.
* Following up on customer promises to bring accounts current.
* Maintaining systematic notes of all collection activity
* Initiating a problem resolution process on customer disputes.
* Initiating credit holds within allowed guidelines.
* Supporting the Cash Application department in reconciling discrepancies between customer payments received and their respective statements.
* Minimize the 120+ collections category for reserve dollars.
What are the requirements for this job?
