Repair & Maintenance:
* Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and manufacturer standards.
* Diagnose and assess vehicles in both shop and field settings to determine appropriate repair solutions.
* Complete multi-point inspections to recommend repairs ensuring safety and reliability.
* Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs, and document all work performed.
Mobile Service Execution:
* Travel to customer homes, offices, and designated locations to perform mobile repairs using a company-provided van and tools.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked mobile service van, ensuring readiness for all scheduled and unscheduled jobs.
* Assess job scope on-site and determine whether work should be completed on location or sublet to a partner facility.
Customer Experience & Communication:
* Communicate clearly with customers, service advisors, and parts departments regarding job status, diagnostics, and service timelines.
* Deliver exceptional customer service while representing AutoNation in mobile and in-shop settings.
* Promote trust and confidence by ensuring all vehicles are safe and repairs are completed to the highest standards.
Team Collaboration & Compliance:
* Collaborate with shop technicians, dispatch, and service support teams to ensure efficient workflows.
* Follow all safety protocols and DOT/FMCSA regulations during mobile operations.
* Maintain knowledge of technical bulletins, factory updates, and complete manufacturer training as required.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 2+ years of recent professional automotive repair experience.
* ASE certifications and/or technical school education preferred.
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
* Valid in-state driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service mindset.
* English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.
* Must meet all DOT/FMCSA requirements, including passing a physical and medical certification.

Who Would I Interact With?
This position interacts daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
* Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as a general service technician for three plus years.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation.
Reviews job status frequently, logging status and reporting any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate service advisor and/or customer.
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Perform a quality multipoint inspection on every vehicle to include supporting documentation; i.e. photos/video
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) in addition to 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
English language required, (Bilingual a plus)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Valid Driver's License
Must maintain Chevrolet factory required certification and testing as released and required from the manufacturer to perform all repairs, recalls, and warranty work with no exclusions.
Maintain ASE's in accordance with GM Center of Learning

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as a general service technician for three-plus years.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation.
Reviews job status frequently, logging status and reporting any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate service advisor and/or customer.
Maintains an organized work in process through the dealership software system.
Prepares estimates when required.
Only flags a completed line on the repair order when the job is complete through the shop.
Follows all warranty material disposition procedures.
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Perform a quality multipoint inspection on every vehicle to include supporting documentation; i.e. photos/video
Documents all work performed and recommended within the dealership technologies.
Road test all vehicles and document exact out mileage.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) in addition to 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
English language required, (Bilingual a plus)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Valid Driver's License
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug.)
Must be at least eighteen years of age

About The Role:
The General Service Technician role is full time or part-time and is an hourly position based on needs of the business. The General Service Technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This position is expected to deliver exceptional 5 Star service to our guests, through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions while ensuring that guest expectations for time commitments and quality are consistently met.

Responsibilities:
Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs effectively and efficiently in accordance with Monro standards of operation.
Tire Services - perform wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation and TPMS service and repair.
Vehicle Services - perform lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (e.g.: bulb, wiper blade and filter replacements, etc.), battery testing and installations.
Consistently complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process, on every guest vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
Assist in inventory management to include pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory.
Assist with all general store duties, ensuring the store is in excellent condition and maintained to Monro standards for cleanliness and consistently in guest ready condition.
Consistently perform service(s) in accordance with Monro's safety standards including but not limited to Monro's Wheel Torque, Oil safety and compliance procedures.
Test drive vehicles in accordance with Monro's Road Test policy, including consistently utilizing our dedicated test drive routes, while observing all local traffic and safety laws.
Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, Governmental standards including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards. Consistent use of all required safety standards set forth in training and policies and procedures.
Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities to ensure proficiency through the timely completion of all required Monro University training courses and modules.
Operate, utilize, and maintain all equipment in a safe manner in accordance with Monro and equipment manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.

Job Description
At Monro or General Service Tech as we call it, is an entry level AutomotiveTechnician position and a great way to start your career at Monro. Starting day 1 you will begin a comprehensive mechanic training program, covering all aspects of your new role. As a General Service Technician, you will be an essential team member, performing maintenance services on Guest vehicles. About The Role:
Compensation is $16-18 Per hour based on experience.
The General Service Technician is a blended role with both front and back shop responsibilities, including at least two days per week dedicated to front counter duties. The ''B" Level Service Technician plays an essential role in understanding and performing routine repairs on customer vehicles. This position involves general repairs and diagnostics, often with some guidance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (such as starters and alternators), HVAC systems, and steering and suspension systems. It is expected that this technician will hold a majority of the necessary manufacturer certifications.

The Trailer Repair Technician works in a fast-paced repair facility. The Trailer Repair Technician is responsible to perform a variety of welding and repair functions.
