As the Sourcing Operations Specialist, you'll act as an independent contributor supporting strategic sourcing activities. These include preparing bids, soliciting supplier quotes, conducting bid analysis, reporting on projects, engaging with suppliers and internal business stakeholders and managing supplier set up. You'll manage a high volume of low- to medium-complexity projects and act as the subject matter expert in the tools and processes used in sourcing activities. You'll contribute to the standardization of sourcing activities while improving executional efficiencies. This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What you'll do * Execute sourcing tactics such as RFI, RFQ, RFP, eAuctions, Collaborative Requisitioning and 3 Bids & a Buy * Request quotes from existing suppliers as directed by category managers * Support contract related tasks including processing extensions, amendments, exhibits and NDAs * Provide regular updates on project status to category managers and stakeholders * Ensure accurate data entry and proper project closure in line with team standards * Manage the CAF/DocuSign routing process in accordance with applicable policies Basic qualifications * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables) and Word * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines * High attention to detail and accuracy * Comfortable working with direction from multiple stakeholders Preferred qualifications * Basic experience using eSourcing tools like SAP Ariba * Familiarity with strategic sourcing and the 7-step sourcing process * Strong written and verbal communications skills What's in it for you We're committed to helping people thrive at work and at home.
