the ability to transfer across the US.
very low pay especially at the management level. sick leave policy and pay
paid vacation scale
nothing
better compensation for store level employees. one should not work full time as a manager and live in poverty!
school, 2 bachelors, military service over 10 years management experience
Great work associates. We all know none of us are getting richer with what we get paid,so we try and at least enjoy ourselves and each other company during our workday.
Pay scales. Constant turnover of CO worker who just get fed up with low pay and overworked often working or being expected to work without a lunch or only getting periodic breaks at best.
Employee discounts which I really never use
Pay an actual living wage. Starting an employee at 9.00 or less per hour is NOT a living wage. Also allow for employees to have chairs so they can occasionally sit during their workday. My commercial manager, store manager, and co workers have to stand throughout their shifts. I drive doing deliveries so I have the benefit of sitting while driving to a delivery, however they dont sometimes working from say 730 am to 530 p.m , or 1 to 10 p.m. Guaranteed your currently sitting in an office chair while reading this.
Showed up.
There is no compensation.
Why is this even a question. It promoted racism by asking about diversity. I don't see a color in a person a see a human in a person.

Helping customers
I love the fact I get to help customers get all of the products they need to complete a project or a job!
I don't like the fact I don't get paid enough per hour to survive with just part-time work. Especially as a single parent being my 5 year old daughter main caregiver.
My favorite benefit is 20% off regularly and just recently 30% off saved me alot of money because I had just found out I needed brakes and rotors
Being located in a racist state with a racist government that values guns over the lives of children.

Incentives. Profits. And teaching my team how to be the best at selling and customer service.
My personal store was phenomenal as far as staffing was, thanks to our store manager.
AutoZone itself puts everything before their employees and their safety. Salaries are extremely low, hourly wages are even worse. They consistently expect minimum staffing and top dollar sales. Benefits are lackluster and movement within the company is not only difficult, but often discouraged by their sky-high expectations vs. the products they actually offer. Store maintenance DOES NOT happen, while holding their employees accountable for the damages incurred. In my tenure we consistently had leaks in the roof in four or more locations (2.5 years), and yet during that time it was decided we receive a brand new parking lot. Meanwhile, whenever equipment was destroyed it would come out of our baseline P&L margins. Sub-par wages lead to many under-qualified employees, and those that were qualified quickly moved on to better job opportunities in non-correlated industries. My store was was a profitable one in a small market, we had total sales of $2.5 million for FY 19 however not one penny of our stores profits were assigned to reasonable areas of improvement, all the while we maintain a CEO with an exceptional salary and charge premium prices for items easily purchased elsewhere for much cheaper.
They offer employees a 20% discount on non-express merchandise.
