Availity CEO and leadership

Russell Thomas has been a member of our board of directors since January 2015.Russell Thomas currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Availity LLC, a provider of health information exchange services to healthcare providers and health plans, where he previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2008 to March 2012. Prior to joining Availity, Thomas served as the CEO of Gold Standard, Inc., a health information technology company. Russell Thomas also serves on the board of directors of the eHealth Initiative, a non-profit, membership organization for the healthcare industry focused on information technology. Russell Thomas holds a B.A. from Virginia Tech and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. We believe that Russell Thomas significant experience in the healthcare industry and with health information companies makes him a valuable member of our board of directors.

Leslie Antunes is Chief Growth Officer, where she is responsible for leading Availity’s strategic growth initiatives. In this role, Leslie is working on expanding client relationships, identifying ways to deepen the user experience, and exploring new growth opportunities. She believes that change is a competitive advantage and will be applying that philosophy to develop Availity’s sales, account management, and client services organizations into key growth areas of Availity.

With over 30 years of experience in operations, product development, and sales, Leslie is a proven performer in driving growth for companies in various industries, including healthcare outsourcing, and technology products and services. Before joining Availity, she served as Chief Growth Officer for Alegeus Technologies, a healthcare and benefit payment solution.

Leslie also served as Head of Product, Sales, and Service at Optum and as EVP, Managing Partner, and Chief Operating Officer at Connextions Health.

Frank Petito is the Chief Financial Officer of Availity where he leads the finance and accounting teams, and serves as a strategic partner to the organization’s Board of Directors and executive leadership team for expansion, acquisition, and capital market opportunities.

Before joining Availity, Frank was CFO of Vivid Seats-a private-equity backed, leading online marketplace for sports, concerts, and theater tickets. Prior to Vivid Seats, Frank spent 14 years at Orbitz Worldwide where he was SVP of Corporate Development and President of Orbitz for Business-a business-to-business division within Orbitz Worldwide. While at Orbitz and Vivid Seats, Frank helped drive profitable growth, deliver margin expansion and optimize capital structures. Frank served an important role in the Orbitz IPO, the subsequent sale to Expedia, and the sale of Vivid Seats.

In addition, Frank worked at an online travel start-up and was involved in the acquisition of CrossFit in the summer of 2020. Early in his career, Frank was an investment banker in New York, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and San Francisco, most recently at Hambrecht & Quist, a leading technology/growth investment bank.

Frank graduated from Princeton University and received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Jack Hunt is Availity’s Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for Availity’s overall technology strategy and delivery. He oversees Availity’s enterprise architecture, data management, infrastructure cloud services, technical product development, and platform and operations support.Prior to this role, Jack served as Availity’s Senior Vice President of Healthcare Network, where he managed product architecture, engineering, strategy, and sales within Availity’s healthcare information network to drive long-term growth for the healthcare ecosystem.Before joining Availity, Jack owned and operated J. Hunt & Associates, an IT professional services firm serving the healthcare and financial services industries. Prior to that, he was the Chief Technology Officer at SoundView Technology Group, which was later acquired by Charles Schwab & Co. Jack has also held technology leadership positions at Merrill Lynch and Cowen & Company, supporting the capital markets divisions.Jack is an avid community volunteer and takes a leadership role in Availity’s philanthropic efforts. He currently serves as vice-chair of the board of directors of the North Florida Region of the American Red Cross. He has also held various committee leadership positions with the United Way of Northeast Florida.

With 15 years of HR experience in high-tech and manufacturing environments, Micciche is tasked with all aspects of human resources including culture, talent acquisition and management, leadership, human capital analytics, compensation and benefits.

Nate Eastman is a Chief Financial Officer at Availity. He has worked as Senior VP/CFO at Inovalon, Senior Dir:Client Audit at EXPRESS SCRIPTS INC, and Dir:Mergers & Aquisitions at Pricewaterhousecoopers LLP. Nathan attended St. Norbert College and Northwestern University - Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Paul Joiner is a Chief Operating Officer at Availity and is based in Jacksonville, Florida Area. He has worked as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Availity; Vice President, Portfolio Strategy at Availity; and Sr. Consultant at LBMC Healthcare. Paul works or has worked as Senior Analyst:Underwriting at Pine Creek Healthcare Cap LLC, VP:Corporate Development at Passport Health Communications, and MEMBER at Healthcare Financial Management Association. He attended Belmont University - Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business between 2001 and 2003, University of Mississippi between 1997 and 2001, and Gamma Beta Phi Society.
