Scott McFarlane is a co-founder and the CEO of Avalara. Beginning with his college days at Claremont McKenna, Scott partnered with his roommate to launch Lifecycle, the most popular computerized exercise bike of all time, and since then has led and advanced several companies including Aircoa and MetaInfo (which was sold to Check Point Software Technologies).

Strong understanding of B2B and B2C channels delivering synergies across both direct (online, tele/ field sales) and indirect (retail, VAR). Ability to build robust partnerships with the likes of Microsoft, MasterCard, Walmart and BestBuy. Proficient at connecting the dots and driving ideas from concept to cash. Kellogg MBA, global traveler and food enthusiast. Functional experiences include General and P&L management (for physical goods, SaaS and payments). In depth knowledge of the SMB and consumer space. Ability to lead high performing organizations, online and offline merchandising, omni-channel go to market strategy and execution.

Danny Fields is an EVP Engineering and Chief Technology Officer at AVALARA, INC. and is based in Palo Alto, California. He has worked as Vice President Engineering, RightNow Service Cloud at RightNow Technologies Inc; Senior Director Engineering at ORACLE CORP; and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Software Development Officer at MobileIron. Danny attended DUBLIN CITY UNIVERSITY between 1986 and 1990.

Dan Manning is a Chief Accounting Officer at AVALARA, INC. and is based in Seattle, Washington. He has worked as Controller at PLUM CREEK TIMBER CO, Senior Accounting Manager at PLUM CREEK TIMBER CO, and Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen LLP. Dan attended University of Idaho between 1989 and 1993.
