AVANGRID CEO and leadership

Dennis was appointed to the position of CEO of AVANGRID in July 2020. With more than 25 years in the energy sector, Dennis joined AVANGRID from Sempra Energy where he was Executive Vice President and Group President and Chief Sustainability Officer. Throughout his career, Dennis has held a variety of leadership positions in gas and electric utilities as well as renewables, including Chairman and CEO of Southern California Gas Co., and Chief Financial Officer of SunPower Corp., San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Gas Co. Dennis holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University.

Dennis is on the boards of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Auto Club Enterprises and recently served as Chairman of the Board for the California Latino Economic Institute. He previously served as Chairman of the California Business Roundtable and on the board of the United Way - Greater Los Angeles.

Dennis has been named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” by Hispanic Business magazine.

Robert “Bob” Kump was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer and President of AVANGRID in June 2019. In this role, Bob leads the company’s accelerated growth strategy, ensuring the successful execution of the company’s strategic plan. Previously, Bob served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avangrid Networks, Inc. where he oversaw AVANGRID’s eight electric and gas utilities serving approximately 3.2 million customers across New York and New England. With more than thirty years of experience in the utility industry, Bob has held a number of executive positions in finance, treasury and investor relations with AVANGRID.

Bob serves on the Advisory Council for Binghamton University Watson School of Engineering, and recently joined the Red Cross Board of Directors in Connecticut. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Binghamton University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

Doug was appointed Senior Vice President - Chief Financial Officer in April 2018. Doug is responsible for AVANGRID’s Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Risk Management, Treasury and Purchasing divisions.

Doug most recently served as vice president - controller of Avangrid Renewables, LLC and has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. Doug graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
