A Brief Overview
Serves as a liaison for nurses, counselors, and patients in interdepartmental communications. Assists with the physical and psychological care of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patientcare delivered.
What you will do
Demonstrates effective communication skills to create a positive work environment.
Participates in the daily inter-disciplinary treatment team meeting as needed, providing input in terms of patient behaviors and interactions with others.
Implements suicide precautions as needed.
Assesses changes in patient's condition/behavior and notifies RN and/or Counselor.
Assists with the activities of daily living care of the patients to include, but not limited tovital signs, collection of specimens, and other general nursing care procedures.
Maintains accurate and concise records, documenting promptly all pertinent information in the patient's EMR.
Assesses impending agitation and escalation of behavioral changes and participates in the behavioral management of these patients.
Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharging of patients.
Assists with medication monitoring and education at facility.
Ensures that patient's valuables and personal items are properly handled.

A Brief Overview
Responsible for providing routine patientcare and support services in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the nurse or physician, to assure that the highest degree of quality patientcare is maintained at all times.
What you will do
* Provides safe and direct patientcare: ambulating, bathing, positioning, entering diet information into the computer system, passing meal trays, feeding and attending to other care needs. Responds promptly to patient call lights and special needs, ensures that patient valuables and personal items are properly handled and accounted for.
* Greets all persons coming to the area assigned, answer inquiries, may direct and assist them, take and relay messages, assist with gifts, flowers, and mail for patients, run errands for department staff.
* Ambulates patients and assist them in and out of wheelchairs, measures intakes and outputs, may collect specimens and transport patients as needed.
* Answers telephone, operates paging system, and attends station and direct traffic during emergencies.
* Prepares requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services patients as directed and coordinate appointments with respective departments. Makes outpatient appointments for discharging patients.
* Requisition of supplies and equipment, maintenance and repairs services and prepares related forms.
* Requests services such as the following as directed: Chaplain, social services, and pastoral care.
* Performs clerical duties related to procedures such as admission, discharge, preparing appropriate charts and forms, transfer, and death.
* Manages interdepartmental and patient mail.
* Maintains patient rooms in an orderly condition, changes bed linens and provides routine cleaning tasks.

Summary
The PatientCareTechnician (PCT) performs basic patientcare services and supports activities within outpatient services. PatientCareTechnicians are multi-skilled to provide expanded services under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional.

Must be able to work amidst multiple distractions while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills.
Functions as a resource and professional liaison with internal departments and external agencies to promote the primary goal of optimal care to the procedural and surgical patient. Serves as in information relay between staff and families regarding start and end times, arranges consult with physicians, and helps families navigate through the building as indicated. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. Must demonstrate independence, assertiveness and critical thinking when working with patients and co-workers. The procedural liaison has the ability to document clearly, the ability to solve problems and is self motivated. Works independently with self direction. Must be able to establish priorities, have strong flexibility and organizational skills.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum of six months' experience preferred. Experience in a clinic setting preferred. Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

Three 12 hour shifts per week
Every third weekend and holiday commitment
Shift times are 6am - 6:30pm or 6pm - 630am
Summary
The PatientCareTechnician (PCT) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The PatientCareTechnician provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Job Description
Record vital statistics and other basic health information. Administer basic health care and medical treatments; provide assistance with basic daily living activities, including dressing/undressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc., meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs, and laundry. Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms. Collect non-invasive biological specimens from patient. Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy. Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare. Strong communication, customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are needed on a daily basis. When necessary for safe provision of care, employee will provide one on one care to patients.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.
