Prep Cook/ Assistant Cook
Join our Mission
The Cook position has direct responsibility for preparing food items for daily meal service. This includes prepping and cooking food necessary for day's need and production, delivering and serving meals, collecting all food products needed to set-up assigned stations, operating all food production equipment safely and following all food production standards for required items.
Job Requirements
Minimum of a High School diploma/GED required
Minimum 1-3 years of food service experience required. Experience in school or residential setting preferred
CPR/First Aid certified or ability to become certified
Full COVID-19 vaccination required
Knowledge in the food bank and commodities programs, ordering and guidelines preferred
Knowledge of local, county, state and federal food service guidelines, codes and laws including but not limited to USDA regulations and knowledge of child nutrition guidelines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Basic MS Office computer skills required Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays
Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population
Schedule
Sunday through Wednesday with Thursday, Friday & Saturday off.
