Job Summary: This supervisor operates a warehouse with inbound and outbound freight shipments that are processed within a short timeframe. Supports business products by collaborating with vendors, customers, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments. Monitors and manages facility performance to ensure materials are processed in a timely manner and meet customers' requirements. Responsible for daily facility activities related to loading and unloading containers, pulling orders, freight sorting, customer support, facility inspections, handling employee concerns, etc. This position is responsible for overseeing, evaluating, and correcting the performance and outcomes of a team or multiple teams. Coordinates work across the organization to optimize efficiency. Makes key workforce decisions, such as hiring, onboarding, transferring, laying off, disciplining, assigning, directing, instructing, developing, and rewarding employees. Emphasis on aligning processes and fostering cohesion among team members. This role supervises a team(s) that performs work according to standardized processes or procedures (e.g., entry-level Professional Expertise, Administrative or Technical Support). Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Problem solving is guided by policies, procedures and the local business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Typically, does not perform the work supervised. This supervisor also manages budgets and understands accounting processes, determines needed resources and allocates funds. Monitors expenditures to budget targets and resolves discrepancies. Applies supply chain and logistics knowledge of the flow of materials, information, and finances involved in manufacturing and distributing products Qualifications: Must be currently located in the same geographic location - Required. Bachelor's degree or international equivalent or 3 years of UPS experience - Preferred. Previous Management/Supervisor experience - Preferred. Logistics/Warehousing experience - Preferred. Other Criteria: Job Grade: 20D - Supervisor. Schedule/typical working hours: Monday-Friday 1100-1930 with OT/Saturdays when needed. Potential schedule changes during peak.
