Softtek Government Solutions is looking for a Software Tester to join our federal technology services consulting practice. We are looking for a consummate professional that plan and execute software test plans and test cases including manual testing and automated testing to validate multiple software applications / web pages in support of a high-profile U.S. Federal government agency. In this role, you will develop test cases based on user story acceptance criteria for various software applications as a member of agile development team. You will collaborate with the government's product owner and business analysts to analyze user stories and conduct test planning. You will also use automated testing tools to capture tests and test results. You will capture test results, interact with developers to explain steps to reproduce any issues found, and help coordinate user acceptance tests. Please demonstrate active listening skills and flexibility in adapting to feedback from team members. You will work onsite, but please reside within commuting distance of downtown Washington, DC.
Responsibilities :
Analyze user story acceptance criteria and work directly with Product Owner and developers to obtain requirement/design clarifications.
Write test plans and test cases to validate user story acceptance criteria.
Identify test data requirements and generate data (as required) to conduct tests.
Execute system testing during development and regression testing prior to software releases.
Document test results in Confluence wiki (or similar)
Report software defects via Atlassian JIRA
Help troubleshoot software issues (Level 2 support) and escalate to developers (Level 3 support).
Participate in Agile (Kanban) processes, development refinement sessions, product demonstrations, user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality control (QC) activities.
Execute agile Kanban processes and customer's change management procedures
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or commensurate experience)

The experts recruited and employed through this professional staffing support services contract will be responsible for advancing the ASPR mission of public health preparedness and emergency response. Monitor calendar for schedule changes and work with MCMP and MCMPSS Directors to accommodate schedule changes. Deconflict meetings that overlap. Notify Directors of changes to their calendars.
Send out meeting invitations at the direction of the senior leaders.

Manage the IT service management team, providing leadership, guidance, and support.
Develop and implement IT service management policies, processes, and procedures based on best practices such as ITIL.
Monitor and report on IT service performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and other metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with IT service delivery.
Conduct regular service reviews with key stakeholders to discuss performance, issues, and improvements.
Manage the incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between IT service management and other IT and business functions.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in IT service management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, business or a related field.
10+ years of direct related experience.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residence/Green Card allowed (must live in the USA)
Proven experience as an IT Service Manager or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practices, including ITIL.
Strong understanding of IT operations and service management processes.
Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation, ITIL Practitioner) is highly desirable.
Experience with ISO 20000-1, COBIT, and other IT governance frameworks.
Familiarity with risk management and compliance standards.
Previous experience working for U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) programs
