Gary B. Smith is a British-American executive, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Ciena, an American telecommunications networking multinational.

As a strategic visionary and technology leader with more than 25 years of industry experience, I serve as President and CEO of Vocera, a leader in clinical communication and workflow solutions. Throughout my 18 year tenure at Vocera, I have created a compelling vision and strategy for the company, built high performing teams, instilled strong cultural values, and played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a startup to a publicly-traded corporation with more than 650 employees. As President and CEO, I have helped grow Vocera into a vibrant and diverse business with revenues exceeding $180 million and a market capitalization of roughly $1 billion. I have also led Vocera through several product launches, a successful IPO, acquisitions of five companies, and continuous expansion into global healthcare markets. I am passionate about enhancing the healthcare experience and developing innovative solutions that positively impact the lives of patients, families and care teams.

Served as CEO & President of Equinix from 2007 - 2018. Led the transformation of a $400 million dollar data center company into the clear industry leader in the Internet Infrastructure Sector and the largest global data center platform in the world with a firm value of approximately $46 billion dollars. Platform Equinix extended operations across 5 continents, 26 countries and 52 metropolitan areas with more than 10,000 of the most critical service providers and enterprises in the world.Previously I was with HP, where I served as Senior Vice President of HP Services and oversaw the organization's Consulting and Integration, Managed Services, and Technology Deployment and Support business groups. My tenure with HP came after spending more than 16 years with Electronic Data Systems Corporation in roles that spanned sales, business development, operations, acquisition-driven integration, and the management of international growth.

Mark Cray, a 20-year IT industry veteran, is Chief Executive Officer at Applied Global Technologies (AGT). Prior to achieving the position of CEO in 2014, Mark built a strong and diverse background in managed services and video communications, serving many key roles at AGT in sales and marketing, operations, engineering and service delivery. In his most recent role at AGT, Mark held the title of Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, where he led company direction, sales strategies and profitability. Beginning his career at AGT as a Regional Business Manager and quickly moving his way up the ranks due to his unique combination of business development and subject matter expertise, Mark played a critical role in AGT’s transition from a start-up to a multi-million dollar company. He was responsible for the development and launch of AGT’s managed video services, cloud-based video services and audio visual (A/V) integration practice, resulting in significant company growth and numerous accolades. Under his leadership, AGT’s business practices have delivered superior service to clients and partners in all market segments. Prior to AGT, Mark served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Power Operation Specialist. Mark currently resides in Florida.
