DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for research, analysis, planning, integration and testing of corporate aviation aircraft avionics, communication, entertainment, and electrically controlled systems
Generates and assembles drawings and documents to support installation of systems on aircraft
Assists with planning and routing of wiring harness maps and/or mock-ups
Acts as a liaison between engineering and the avionics integration/installation teams
Prior knowledge of installations, modifications and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, engineering drawings is required
Assist avionics modification teams with power-on checks, configuration, check out, and aircraft delivery to end customer
Helps maintain Supplemental Type Certificate(s) and approved designs
Interfaces with and maintains good working relationships with suppliers and integration teams
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
FAA DER in Electrical Systems is highly desired
Exposure to aircraft modifications (AMT, repairman, A&P, etc), FAA and aircraft OEM standard practices, and FAA certification
NCATT certification highly desired
Bachelor's Degree (BSEE or BSEET) in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
Familiar with fabrication and/or installation of basic avionics and electrical systems in aircraft
Familiar with standard aircraft wiring practices and standard avionics shop practices
General knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (14 CFR Part 21, 23, 25, 145)
Ability to work in and around the aircraft and tight spaces (avionics bays, etc)
Travel on occasion
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite
Experienced in AutoCAD required

Structural Analysis Engineer

Job DescriptionThe entry level structural engineer will perform structural analysis of towers, mounting systems, rooftops, water tanks, and buildings for the addition of wireless telecommunication antennas and other equipment. They will also assist the professional engineer in the design of steel frame connections, stair systems, platform systems, other miscellaneous building structural items, and tower modifications for towers in over-stressed condition as required. Formal reports will be prepared to effectively communicate structure configuration, code compliance, design specifications, and capacities to customers. Fabrication drawings will be reviewed to be in conformance with the designs and communicate with the detailing team what corrections or alterations are required to meet design specifications. Responsibilities will include maintaining project timelines, effective communication with piers and management on project status, and accurate technical reporting, and problem solving both fabrication and field items that arise post design.
Essential Functions:
Performs engineering analysis, design and calculations for structural design of telecommunication installations on towers, mounting systems, buildings, concrete foundations, rooftops, platforms, water tanks, etc.
Performs engineering design and calculations for structural and miscellaneous steel systems of various buildings and structures.
Evaluates designs for overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
Adhere to applicable Quality Control procedures.
Develop structural drawings and reinforcement details for wireless structures.
Review fabrication drawings for conformance to design specifications.
Provide accurate project status reporting to facilitate accurate customer reporting.
Assist in the development of engineering tools and processes.
Review requests for engineering services to determine that adequate information is provided to complete service.
Generate required engineering reports.
