SUMMARY: Ensure all maintenance actions including documentation are carried out in accordance with approved data in an airworthy manner. Additionally, responsible for preliminary, routine and in-process inspections on aircraft and/or components to determine serviceability and airworthiness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accomplish incoming preliminary inspections on aircraft/components in accordance with customer request cards or manufacturer's manuals. Ensure documentation of maintenance performed is as required by FAR's, ATS ' Repair Station Manual and customer's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program ( CAMP ). Accomplish final buy-back of maintenance performed. Accomplish in-progress inspections including clearance-to-close, torque verifications, dimensional checks, rigs, etc. As authorized by ATS and airlines, perform return-to-service and airworthiness releases on serviceable tags, aircraft logbooks, and FAA form 337. Perform audit of ATS facilities for FAR and safety regulation compliance. Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant License Required Three years heavy aircraft maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by Manager's discretion. NDI and previous QC experience highly desirable. Prior supervisory experience highly desirable. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally, with help, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Compensation The base pay range for this position is $31.00 - $47.00 hourly [for non-exempt roles], not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus. SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Hangar Operations Support Technician is an integral part in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of aircraft maintenance operations within the hangar. This position provides essential support to maintenance personnel, ensures the efficiency and cleanliness of the hangar, and contributes to maintaining an overall safe work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: MAINTENANCE ASSISTANCE (80% of job): Caters and de-caters aircraft. Moves LAVs and GALLEYs to and from Back-Shop areas. Removes, loads, and transports aircraft seats. Transfers life vests from old seats to new seats. May assist with aircraft cleaning. Provides spotting assistance for mechanics and Quality Control (QC) personnel through various maintenance tasks. Performs cleaning tasks on engine cowl surfaces. Retapes wheels and other relevant components as needed for maintenance and safety purposes. Communicates effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. Responsible for accurately clocking into jobs. HANGAR FLOOR (20% of job): Gathers any items needed from other locations and pick-up areas. Locates ladders, carts, tools, and any items needed at the request of the mechanic. Moves off units to temporary staging areas. Coordinates with Supply Chain Logistics (SCL) for deliveries. General housekeeping of the hangar floor including disposal of scrap metal, scrap wood, carboard and other refuse, emptying hangar floor trash, sweeping entryways, and helping with emergency spill and containment. Performs Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walk and sweep in hangar bays. Bi-monthly inspection of all chemical cabinets and disposal of expired items. Cleans out alodine tank weekly. Notifies lead of any blood borne pathogen or pest control issues. Inspects worktables for serviceable condition and routes unserviceable tables out for repair. Cleans sanding rooms and removes accumulated sanding debris from floors. Returns all chemicals, cleco's, rags, bottle jacks, and shoring to their proper locations. Rolls up and stows extension cords, air hoses, and lights when not in use. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. General Labor experience highly preferred. Experience in Aviation or MRO preferred. SUMMARY: The Master Mechanic performs maintenance to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to insure airworthiness. Utilizes technical skills and knowledge to train and develop mechanics. Assists Leads with daily operation of functional area while working under minimal supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads and interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, engineering orders, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification. SUMMARY: The (Systems) Lead Mechanic oversees the maintenance tasks in aircraft service, repair, and overhaul to ensure airworthiness. Ensures timely completion of tasks and provides training and mentorship for an assigned function area. Assists with Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities for short periods of time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies. Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements. Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approves and returns to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date. Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active member of the crew. Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and quality. Uses technical data to order parts and ensure materials are effective for the aircraft being installed. Ensures all parts for the specialty area are ordered in a timely manner. Ensures Engineering is submitted in a timely manner as needed. Responsible for keeping all assigned areas clean and audit-ready. Identifies and eliminates hazards that pose a risk to employee safety and quality of work. Ensures compliance with safety requirements. Responsible for the on-time delivery of assigned skill sets in coordination with other skill sets. Monitors and corrects routine and non-routine labor hours prior to exceeding the allotted estimated hours. Notifies Supervisor of variations in labor requirements to ensure the most efficient utilization of labor and resources and to avoid LOW when possible. Answers questions from customers as needed. Responsible for setting timeframe expectations with technicians on task card accomplishment. Oversees On-the-Job Training (OJT) provides learning opportunities through work assignments and mentoring. Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiency and workflow. Complies with, communicates with, and provides guidance to team members on ATS policies, procedures, and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Promotes the "Balanced Technician" concept. Mentors and develops the technical and leadership skills of the mechanics. Communicates with the Supervisor all information on assigned employees, including disciplinary problems. May deliver or give input on performance evaluations for assigned employees. Provides regular feedback and performance coaching, including appropriate time management, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring proper knowledge and training to accomplish assignments for all members of the assigned crew. Responsible for accurate timekeeping, including clocking into jobs. Responsible for the accuracy of clocking into jobs for the assigned team. Responsible for adhering to all ATS-required training. Regular and predictable attendance. Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four (4) years of recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience is preferred. Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, use their hands and arms, talk or hear, and focus on close objects. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs. Compensation The base salary for this position is $31.00 - $47.00/DOE (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly rate will be based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range noted above is the full base hourly range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
