Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to lead complex architectural projects from concept through completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and proven leadership in managing teams, clients, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
Help our clients achieve their goals
Work with Director of Electrical Engineering, Senior Electrical Engineers and Project Managers to meet KZF goals and objectives
Respond to estimated budget hour requests from Division Managers and Project Managers
Assist Project Managers with development of project schedules and budgets
Provide technical, project management and client management support to projects
Work directly with the Director of Electrical Engineering and KZF Project Managers and assume the “day-to-day” responsibility of Electrical Engineering design/production for assigned projects
Work with Project Managers to establish design parameters consistent with the project scope, schedule and budget
Prepare Electrical design and construction documents in REVIT MEP
Seeking advice and counsel from Director of Electrical Engineering and Senior Electrical Engineers as needed
Interface with all professional disciplines assigned to the project to coordinate the Electrical work
Prepare electrical design studies, written design narratives, calculations, and analysis, and direct Electrical Engineering support staff as required
Research building materials and systems and select appropriate items for incorporation into the building design
Required Qualifications
Capable and experienced in all areas of Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on buildings and building site electrical systems
Experience producing Electrical design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm
Understanding and experience with design and office related computer software and operating systems
Capable in all areas of building Electrical Engineering, concept development and final design, including, power systems (medium & low voltage), low voltage control systems, lighting design, fire alarm systems, security systems, telephone & communications systems (WAN & LAN), closed circuit TV systems, cable TV systems, and electrical utility systems
Familiarity of HVAC systems, HVAC controls, plumbing systems, fire protection, piping systems, and mechanical utility systems
Experience working with architects, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, interior designers, and other technical personnel
Experience supervising electrical designers and other technical personnel
Comfortable with a broad range of project types
Familiarity and experience working with building codes
Knowledgeable in related areas of building design
Familiarity with A/E industry BIM standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Experience managing parallel assignments
Proactive and assertive in problem solving
Staff management and client relationship skills
Comfortable working in teams and making group presentations
Experience providing marketing and project interview support
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus
LEED certification a plus
Good written and oral communications skills; fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
Ability to be registered in most states - (NCEES preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments including civic, public safety, education, healthcare, etc.
Experience using: ELUM Tools, Visual Lighting, Agi32 and Navisworks
Experience working with Federal Government Agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice and the US Army Corps of Engineers
LEED accreditation or other sustainability credentials

Full-time detail-oriented Electrical Engineer in our Cincinnati office. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, access control, network, and instrumentation and control systems for industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, retail, and educational clients. This position involves hands-on development of construction documents (calculations, drawings, and specifications), supervising other electrical engineers and designers, data gathering via field investigations, client interaction, and construction administration services.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Will have normal office working conditions and be required to use a computer. Must be able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to help support our customer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. This role will need an understanding of DoD, Air Force as well as common engineering/scientific principles, processes and procedures that allows for translating user requirements into weapons system, requirements. This will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test and evaluate weapons systems, subsystems and ,equipment for eventual fielding and deploying.
Essential Job Responsibilities
+ Shall assist in performing technological/trade-off assessments of proposed designs/modifications as well as translating user requirements into system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test and evaluate systems, subsystems.
+ Shall assist in providing support to produce or review products that include the following: technical evaluations/plans; engineering studies, reports, and analyses; and acquisition strategies/plans such as: System Specification; RFPs; Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Acceptance Procedures (ATPs); and Spectrum Supportability Determinations.
+ Shall support as necessary project team meetings, working groups, and reviews as needed, such as: SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TCM, TIM, FCA, PCA, PMR, and other meetings/working groups/reviews as applicable.
+ Shall assist in analyzing equipment and software deficiencies; make recommendations for equipment and software deficiency corrections; and assist in developing, integrating, and testing equipment and software deficiency solutions.
+ Shall support systems analyses to include, but not be limited to, avionics system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessment and developing systems/subsystem specifications and provide technical advice on the path forward to installation of the new hardware and software into the system and subsystems
+ Shall support and assist performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessments, and scheduling trade-off studies.
Minimum Qualifications
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
+ Experience in design and troubleshooting of Avionics subsystems such systems as Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Transponders, Traffic Collision Alert System (TCAS), Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), High Frequency (HF) Radios, Distance Measuring Equipment (DME), Multi-Mode Receivers (MMR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR).
+ Working knowledge in the area of NAV displays, data buses (MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC-429), test planning and conduct, sustainment and operations covering airborne vehicles' avionics subsystems and FAA and Air Force airworthiness/certification process and procedures.
+ Working knowledge of technical documents, determining sufficiency for demonstrating compliance with specifications and airworthiness means of compliance, summarizing findings, recommended changes, and communicating all results to program offices.
+ Has performed engineering evaluation of prime and subcontractor recommendations for operational and support issues including but not limited to evaluations of Engineering Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals, Contract Change Proposal, FAA bulletins, modification proposals, program risk, and related documents.

+ FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) certification highly desirable with a firm understanding of FAA regulations as they apply to Airworthiness Certification for Commercial and Commercial Derivative Military Aircraft (CDMA) as well as Military Air Worthiness in accordance with AFPD 62-6 USAF Airworthiness requirements and MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria.
+ Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Alternate Methods of Compliance (AMOCs) for AD's. as well as development of STC packages.

Electrical Distribution System Packaging Engineer

Lumenance is seeking a full\-time engineer to develop (3D + 2D CAD) wire harnesses, junction boxes, and related electrical components and sub\-systems for our client in the commercial vehicle market. This is a contract\-to\-direct position with a growing manufacturer.
JOB SUMMARY
Designs new, high voltage electrical distribution systems (EDS), low voltage wiring harness products and makes improvements to existing products. Evaluates products and processes for cost efficiency and reliability. Works with other members to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. Ensures that products, processes, and documentation conform to specifications and customer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designs electrical distribution system (EDS) products to meet all customer requirements and internal design standards, including high voltage wiring and smart junction boxes.
• Designs high Voltage Cables and Connectors and work directly with their suppliers
• Designs low voltage wiring harnesses and battery cables
• Generates a Bill of Material (BOM) and prints for product designs.
• Coordinates with Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to assess product and processing costs and ensure that program cost targets are achieved.
• Coordinates 3D designs to package components and create schematics - has full design responsibility.
• Define retention, convolute, tapes.
• Provides proposals on cost\/weight reduction to enhance productivity.
• Coordinates all program status review meetings, design review meetings, and harness trial builds with customer, manufacturing, and purchasing.
• Attends customer meetings and build events.
• Maintains a program open issues list to track all issues (i.e., design, system, manufacturing, purchasing, and customer) which are related to the program.

To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

Combination of Education and Experience: College-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
