Perform connector and wire repair in addition to miniature component replacement and repair. 7. Utilize common avionicstest equipment in conjunction with technical publications. 8. Operate the HTS and associated OTPS to test, troubleshoot and repair WRAs and SRAs to the component card level. 9. Support on-the-job training and cross training of Kuwait Air Force personnel.

NexGen Construction Group is seeking a qualified Fire Suppression Inspection & TestingTechnician for a one-year Federal DoD contract to perform inspections, testing, and assessments of fire suppression systems at designated facilities within the Reagan Test Site (RTS) and other locations on Kwajalein Atoll. This role ensures compliance with NFPA standards, the UFC, OSHA regulations, and manufacturer specifications while minimizing disruption to facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and assessments of fire suppression systems, including wet sprinkler systems and fire pumps, ensuring full operability and compliance.
Perform testing in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and UFC 3-601-02 to verify proper system function under both normal and emergency conditions.
Identify and document system deficiencies, non-compliance issues, and propose corrective actions.
Provide repair recommendations and minor maintenance services, including replacing faulty components as needed.
Generate detailed inspection reports, documenting system conditions, non-compliance issues, and any necessary corrective actions.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA, UFC, OSHA, and other applicable safety and regulatory standards.
Coordinate inspections and repairs with V2X Fire Department personnel and facility managers to minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and repair activities.
Adhere to all local rules, regulations, and safety standards, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and health (EHS) policies.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:
Certification: Must hold a NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Suppression System Technologies.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire suppression system inspection, testing, and maintenance.
Knowledge: Strong familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and UFC 3-601-02 standards.
Technical Skills: Ability to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and recommend repairs for fire suppression systems.
Communication: Must be able to clearly communicate in English (both written and verbal).
Compliance: Must adhere to all security and safety requirements, including background checks.
Work Environment: Must be willing to work in a remote, overseas environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
NICET Level III or IV certification.
Previous experience working on LOGCAP projects or other military installations.
Experience working in remote or austere environments.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must comply with all V2X quality assurance and safety guidelines.
Must be able to submit a Site-Specific EHS Plan and maintain an EHS binder on-site.
