An accomplished healthcare and insurance executive with a skill set uniquely attuned to the rapidly changing national, regional and local marketplace, Larry Schreiber is the president of Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield's New York Commercial businesses and CEO of UniCare Life and Health. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Anthem, Inc.

In his roles he is responsible for commercial strategy, network contracting, provider relations, care management, client services, sales, marketing, pricing, product development and underwriting functions of group and individual accounts, as well as advancing commercial regulatory compliance and legislative matters for Empire's Commercial lines of business. Additionally, Schreiber leads community relations efforts to achieve improvements in the lives of the people Empire serves and the health of New York communities.

A Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and strategic leader, Schreiber brings 30 years of experience to each challenge he tackles. He believes the best health care is focused on provider collaborations that help people to get and stay healthy.

Immediately prior to his current position, Schreiber served as the President of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Cross Blue Cross Blue Shield in Wisconsin where he engineered a strategic turnaround for the company’s group health block of business through provider collaboration and improvements in retention and sales while advancing market share.

Schreiber is a graduate of the University of Tampa, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a minor in Management Information Systems, and the Executive Leadership Training Program at the Wharton School of Business.
