The instructional Assistant will support student learning using Montessori materials and district models in small group and one-on-one instruction. Successful candidate must be able to sit on the floor with students during some activities. This person shall support procedures, policies, and discipline within the classroom and building. Provide classroom support to the teacher by preparing and setting up work areas, decorations, posters and displays, and distributing and collecting paper, supplies and materials. 8. Assure the health and safety of students by following health and safety practices and procedures; maintain classroom and other assigned areas in a safe, orderly and clean manner. 9. Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator to meet the particular needs of the building/unit.
