Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Creates and modifies CAD drawings including sheet metal & machined parts/assemblies, cable harness/cable routing mechanical interfaces to electronic systems
Performs design evaluations on engineering solutions considering DFM/DFA
Aids engineering team in drafting/documentation activities
Develops Bill of Materials and spare parts lists, component documentation and assembly, service, and operator manuals.
Specifies commercial components, materials, coatings, and other relevant design specifications.
Works with engineering team regarding design, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR processes.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives and provide innovative solutions.
Assists in building and validation of prototypes.
Provides technical support during the manufacturing and production stages.
Conducts risk assessments and participate in design reviews to identify and mitigate potential issues.
Prepares and helps present designs at various design reviews.
Occasionally visits customer/subcontractor sites for design meetings, installations, retrofits, or other activities.
Maintains sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or five (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Experience in equipment/machine design with Autodesk Inventor and/or related CAD systems
Familiarity of drafting standards and tolerances
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design methodologies
Experience in design of sheet metal and machined components and assemblies
Experience with simulation hardware or related industries is a plus
Familiarity with basic hand tools and assembly
Experience with measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc.)

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Perform daily shipping and receiving activities, including inspection, documentation, and system entry.
Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
Monitor, manage, and replenish inventory levels to support production demands.
Create and issue kits for production work orders using pick lists and inventory control procedures.
Interpret and work with indented Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate material allocation and usage.
Track material movement and ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to resolve material shortages and discrepancies.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the warehouse and production support areas.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

operations, or related manufacturing support roles.
• Experience kitting work orders and using pick lists in a production environment.
• Working knowledge of indented Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required (up to company-specified limits).
• Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP/MRP systems.
Preferred (not required):
• Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or simulation industry environment.
• Basic understanding of production workflows and material movement processes.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
Work Environment
• Full-time, on-site role at AVT Simulation's Oviedo, FL facility.
• Hands-on work in warehouse, production support, and inventory areas.Essential Mental Requirements
