The Goldwyn site opened its doors on April 19, 1963, and much of the original design is still intact.
His parents were just the third customers of what was once called the Washington Shores Savings and Loan back in 1963.
1990 Washington Shores Federal Savings and Loan Association changed its charter from mutual ownership to stock ownership and its name to Washington Shores Federal Savings Bank.

2009 Urban Trust Bank executed an agreement with SunTrust Banks, Inc. to take over seven new branches formerly operated by SunTrust.
2011 Commercial Lending Operations were launched.
2014 Urban Trust Bank formally changed its name to Axiom Bank, and relocated its headquarters to Maitland, Florida.
2016 Axiom Bank expanded its Commercial Banking presence to Tampa.
2017 Axiom Bank was granted a National Charter, and changed its name to Axiom Bank N.A., reflecting the National Association designation.
2018 Axiom Bank acquired Dallas, TX-based Allied Affiliated Funding, a Factoring and Asset Based Lending company.
2020 Axiom Bank opened its flagship Winter Park branch.
In 2022, Axiom Bank celebrated the grand re-opening of the branch after renovating the community landmark.
