JOB DESCRIPTION:
Act as a project manager responsible for specific deliverables within global/regional/Line of Business focused program initiatives. The role holder is and is responsible for driving key initiatives relating to the development, planning, execution and coordination of overall departmental operations. The Head of APO is responsible for coordinating, executing and monitoring the Bank's AML program as implemented in the U.S. More specifically, the APO is responsible for:
Coordinating the management of global AML policies, standards, and procedures as implemented in the U.S.

Experience
A Bachelor 's degree; MBA or Master 's degree in business, accounting, legal or related fields is preferred.

Portfolio management for designated customers. Responsible for the underwriting and portfolio management of Japanese Corporate loan portfolio clients. As focusing on subsidiary lending, designated customers will be complex relationships focusing on non-investment grade clients, customers with a large credit exposure, structured finance transactions, and customers with complex corporate structures.
Major Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management & Underwriting
Perform due diligence and regularly scheduled credit reviews.
Analyze credit risk of the designated portfolio, determine accurate ratings and make recommendations of accurate and timely ratings to management; designated customers will be more complicated ones than those assigned to junior PMs, such as lower graded customers, customers with large credit exposure, customers with structured finance transactions, and customers with complex corporate structure.
Prepare detailed credit analysis and credit applications in accordance with Bank's credit policies and procedures such as Americas Credit Standards, Americas Credit-Related Procedures, Credit and JCB's internal operating manuals, evaluating the borrower's industry, business, legal and financial risks, and recommend extensions of credit.
Manage deadlines and workload in accordance with the schedule.
Function as a subject matter expert with regard to particular industries and industry subsectors.
Fully understand and be able to assess risk of standard bank products including loans, standby letter of credit, trade finance, foreign exchange, derivatives, securitization, and lease.
Interview the borrower's senior management to assess their business/financial risks/challenges. Maintain direct communication with assigned customers, if needed by RM (relationship manager).
Coordinate and communicate critical account information to various related parties throughout the bank.
Oversee covenants compliance, facility due date, condition/instruction/report required, and call memos.
Perform other risk related functions as needed.
Deal Support
Work with business lines/product groups to identify prospective transactions.
Lead new deals with moderate complexity for both existing and new customers from the credit underwriting perspective with moderate supervision. Experienced associates can identify structural risks and mitigants in prospective transactions and recommend/enhance structuring of deals and covenant in line with policies and procedures. Manager will periodically check in, however, associates can also make appropriate judgement when to escalate/consult with the manager where necessary.
Advise account officers on credit risk issues, terms and conditions to craft the best possible deal with the goal of improving profit and minimizing credit cost.
While closely consulting with manager, communicate with credit division/administration with regard to rating rationale, facility structuring/exposures and ensure credit division provided with all credit related information and analysis pertinent to making a decision.
Policy Compliance
Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements (JFSA, BOJ, FRB, OCC and FDIC).
Ensure compliance with internal policy and procedures by understanding and adhering to Americas Credit Standards, Americas Credit-Related Procedures, Credit Rules, Procedures for Credit Ratings, JCB Operating Manual, and any other applicable pronouncements.
Support Dept. managers in credit risk management process.
Support junior analysts on OJT basis as assigned by the manager (experienced associate).
Study, develop and improve analytical skills through close communication with related divisions, such as Americas Credit Rivew, Credit departments, Credit Policy Office and other Credit Divisions with support from managers.
Assist managers in the training efforts.
Maintain and monitor compliance reporting requirements.
QualificationsRequirements include:

Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in banking applications is a plus.

MBA/ CFA, a plus
3-5 years working experience in large financial institutions, credit and risk related function in equivalent organizations analyzing general corporate customers and making credit recommendations or other financial related roles such as M&A in accounting firms, business analysis in accounting/ consulting firms, analyzing subsidiaries performance in corporate finance function.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $103K - $123K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. Job Summary:
The Americas Legal Department is looking for a Derivatives lawyer with expertise in interest rate and FX derivatives. The candidate must have experience with project finance and other loan-linked ISDAs as well as have a solid understanding of the ISDA definitions. Job Summary:
The Business Manager - (D) will, together with existing Business Management team, support the International Global Markets Sales & Trading businesses. Proactively monitor PostgreSQL RDS instances for performance, availability, and resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage, connections) using established monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus).
Assist in identifying performance bottlenecks in PostgreSQL RDS. Apply basic performance tuning techniques like reviewing query execution plans, adding missing indexes, and recommending parameter adjustments.
Monitor the health and performance of Debezium and Kafka Connect connectors, identifying and troubleshooting basic issues related to data capture and delivery.
Monitor Apache Nifi data flows for errors, backpressure, and performance issues. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving common Nifi flow failures.
Provide support for data related issues and participate in root cause analysis.
Monitor the execution of Apache Airflow DAGs, identify failed tasks, and troubleshooting and re-runs.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IAC) templates (e.g., using Crossplane, Terraform) to automate routine database tasks, deployments, and updates.
Participate in on-call rotations to respond to database-related incidents and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Assist in implementing and maintaining security best practices for cloud databases, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Regularly audit and assess database security configurations.
Configure and manage database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or data loss.
Analyse database query performance and collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and schemas.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud databases.
Assist in the design and optimization of database schemas for cloud environments.
Skills
Familiarity with data pipeline concepts and technologies like Debezium, Kafka Connect, Apache Nifi.
Basic understanding of Amazon Redshift and S3.
Exposure to Apache Spark for data processing.
Basic understanding of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
Strong SQL scripting skills for querying and basic data manipulation.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
Knowledge of database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Having ‘AWS Certified Database - Specialty' certification is a plus
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) is a global function that utilizes a market-based approach toward portfolio management from a single-name, industry and portfolio basis with the ultimate goals of supporting business opportunities, improving portfolio returns and protecting MUFG from unforeseen credit loss.
The team's core functions include:
Monitoring of the corporate loan portfolio with a focus on Early Warning activities at both the single name and industry level as well as concentration management.
Developing and executing exposure and capital management strategies (CDS, Insurance, Securitization) to protect/optimize the portfolio, including XVA management.
Supporting new business origination through relative value analysis, concentration measurement and exposure management strategy.
Enterprise Valuation analysis to support the credit underwriting process for the Bank's leveraged loan portfolio.
CPM Planning raises some initiatives to improve ROE or manage credit cost by analyzing credit portfolio, manage compliance risk for CPM activities with monitoring relevant limits, and report current situation or something which Head Office asks. Additionally, it's part of a regional team (Americas) of CPM which actively perform various analyses of the Bank's loan portfolio and control compliance risks.
Main Responsibilities:
Monitor the credit quality and trends of the corporate loan portfolio by following and interpreting internal MIS (Management Information System) data and publicly available information such as secondary market prices (CDS, Bond, Loan and Equity), industry data, material news releases, company filings and market research.
Identify exposures in the portfolio at risk for credit deterioration and downgrade. Evaluate and recommend potential exposure management actions.
Carry out monitoring tasks related to CDS transactions conducted by the Public team, including compliance-related items. Also, Report CDS balances and other data to regulatory authorities as necessity.
Grasp P/L related to hedging (or managing CVA) and report to Americas Finance and Tokyo Finance. Forecast P/L by collaborating with Public CDS traders and Private CPM executers.
Provide necessary information for the Asset Liability Management (ALM) Committee and other requirements in Tokyo as needed. Also, prepare regular reports required for concentration management.
Gather distribution data from relevant parties, summarize the progress of Distribution amount monthly, create a report to show the overview and share it with Finance team.
Make the annual budget, allocate them within CPM Office of Americas (CPMOA) and monitor monthly actual expenditure to manage budget.
Assist with general administrative duties within CPMOA.
Qualifications:
1-2 years' experience in banking or related field to create some reports and materials with MS Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
Bachelor's degree (Finance preferred) with strong analytic and modeling skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Understanding of credit & risk related function
Fundamental understanding of financial accounting and credit markets.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $90k-$110k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. Conduct detailed analysis and due diligence for new opportunities in North America and LatAm in the power, natural resources and infrastructure sectors
Reviewing market studies, engineering reports, financial models, financial statements, customer financial information, project contracts, and legal analyses
Review information about project assets, development plans, and commercial arrangements
Model complex financial projections in Microsoft Excel, including cash flows, debt financing, and tax structures
