Dr. Jiang is a seasoned technical executive with a 15-year track record of developing complex, implantable Class III medical devices. He was previously VP of R&D at the Alfred Mann Foundation. Dr. Jiang was elected to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE)’s College of Fellows and served as Principal Investigator on several government contracts. Dr. Jiang holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Dan Dearen has over 30 years of experience in senior management roles with emerging growth companies in medical devices, life sciences, and technology. Dan is currently co-founder and chief operating and financial officer of Axonics Modulation Technologies, developer of the first rechargeable Sacral Neuromodulation (r-SNM™) system for the treatment of overactive bladder. He was previously COO & CFO of Vessix Vascular, a medical device company treating resistant hypertension that was acquired by Boston Scientific Corporation in November 2012. Dan has played a key role in building several venture capital financed companies and has expertise in building teams, raising capital, structuring license agreements, and mergers and acquisitions. He started his career as a CPA in the healthcare group at Ernst & Young in Dallas, Texas. Dan earned his MBA from Boston College and his BBA from Southern Methodist University.

John Woock is the Chief Marketing Officer of Axonics Modulation Technologies where he’s focused on the design of the Axonics System, overseeing the company’s clinical studies, and leading marketing activities. He is named on several Axonics patents related to the design and function of the Axonics System.Before joining the Axonics team in June 2014, Dr. Woock completed a postdoctoral Stanford Biodesign Fellowship where he spent a year exploring the practice of Urology and needs for innovation to treat common Urologic conditions like BPH and Overactive Bladder. At McKinsey & Company he worked with payors and providers on their strategy and operations related to the Affordable Care Act and optimizing their Medicare Advantage plans.He received a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, working with Dr. Warren Grill, a leading expert in neuromodulation, on optimizing neuromodulation for control of the bladder. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
