Job Description
AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our Canton East facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will perform maintenance services in the areas of PM's, basic plumbing & electricity, welding, and machine servicing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Repairs, replaces, and reassembles defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and determines how to correct them.
Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
Qualifications
6 months to 1-year related experience required.
Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is a plus.
Welding/Fabrication experience preferred.
Experience with electrical systems, cranes, hoists, and forklifts preferred.

Plaskolite is seeking to fill an Associate Buyer position on our Procurement team to purchase goods and services for our North American manufacturing sites. This role will support our production needs and overall buying strategy. While based at our global headquarters in Columbus, OH, the role will be in constant communication with colleagues from all our North American locations. This position will be the facilitator of all indirect spend category purchases and is key to the operational success of Plaskolite.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Order Placement & Tracking
Utilize the JD Edwards ERP system to convert requisitions into purchase orders and submit those orders to suppliers via e-mail or telephone
Gather and evaluate quotations from suppliers and service providers
Coordinate releases and orders for critical materials used in the manufacturing process
Expedite and track orders to ensure timely delivery
Log daily purchase order activity to maintain records
Work with warehouse staff to coordinate deliveries and ensure all materials arrive as expected
Generate reports for cost analysis studies and other procurement data
Supplier Management & Communication
Meet with suppliers for service and performance evaluations
Act as main point of contact for routine supplier inquiries regarding delivery, invoicing, price agreements, etc.

What Drives Success
This technician performs field activities associated with supporting the installation, maintenance and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.
Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians.

What We Offer
Compensation:
This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $39,000 - $77,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual's tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
Benefits:

This technician performs field activities associated with supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.
Duties include:
Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.
Uses technical abilities to maintain systems.
Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends required.
What We Are Looking For
High School diploma or GED equivalent
HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred achieving 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance.
1+ years in mechanical support role, some hands-on HVAC experience preferred
EPA Certification- Type I & Type II or Universal Preferred
NATE certification a plus
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
Ability to climb ladders.
Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Good Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills
Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork.
Ability to work independently and self-schedule.
Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision.
Periodically ‘on call' for service coverage
Must be willing to relocate to another part of country once training is completed.
Local travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Technicians install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial, rooftop HVAC units. This work is often done independently. As such, Technicians must be able to safely:
Get themselves and necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop - typically via fixed/extension ladder.
Work at heights
Load and unload tools/equipment from work van
Lifting occasionally up to 75lbs.
Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs.
Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
Climb ladder up to roof height.
Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion.
Manual tandem lifting load up to 125 lbs
What We Offer
Compensation:
This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $33,000 - $41,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual's tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Job Description
As a Crane Operator at Steel Technologies, your main responsibility is to operate a crane to lift and move materials, equipment and/or products.
