What you can expect as an Aircraft Detail Technician at West Star:
Our detail technicians help the team prepare and clean aircraft for delivery to our customers. It requires basic motor skills and an ability to provide high customer service. Arm strength, basic dexterity and ability to move on and around aircraft are essential. Additional shop support functions such as cleaning of the hangar floor and shop clean-up are included.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Perform, wash, wax and detail work of aircraft interiors and exteriors.
Polish, buff or treat aircraft sections as required.
Tape and prepare aircraft for detail work.
Shop floor clean-up and assistance in other minor cleaning duties.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
What you'll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience :
Prior experience in auto detail or cleaning is preferred.
Your Initiative:
We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Service Employee The Service Employer maintains and fuels all school buses, activity, and commercial buses in conjunction with First Student's Maintenance Department: dispenses fuel, checks oil, maintains accurate stick and meter readings, stocks required supplies and equipment, and coordinates the flow of buses to ensure safe operation. Performs light maintenance as necessary to buildings and grounds. As a Service Employee, your major responsibilities will be to: • Opens the gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure all can be dispatched in a timely manner. Re-positions any buses that may impede the traffic in the yard • Maintains accurate records and completes Bulk Fuel Receiving Report, Fuel Variance Report, Closing Month-end Report and Meter Calibration Report • Notifies the Location Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is required and ensures that accurate stick readings are taken before and after delivery • Checks and fills the oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and belts on buses being fueled • Performs light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required • Performs any other management requests or directives as requested At First Student, each individual plays an integral part of the communities they serve. Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls to our School Bus dispatch department
Oversees, reviews, and/or assigns equipment utilization, inspects, and verifies attendance reporting, arranges for emergency coverage of routes and be willing to fill in when the need arises
Notifies appropriate personnel in case of Operator emergencies and disruptions or cancellations of service
Reviews complaints and conducts factual investigations, and recommends appropriate course of action
Ensures that all driver activities are completed.
Oversees drivers and resolves issues and requests
Makes sure all policies and procedures are being adhered to
Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles based on workload
Update dispatch grids and trip schedule
Establish rapport for drivers
Maintain a close working relationship with our other departments
Communicate with drivers and clients by email and telephone
Must take a proactive approach to all operational duties example: Scheduling of vehicles, drivers, and maintaining the maintenance schedule of vehicles
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Must be able to work quickly, but with high attention to accuracy and detail.
Must be able to work independently without constant supervision, and be able to make independent decisions
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced department with the ability to follow through with each task given
Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in procedures and policies
Must be able to work under pressure and problem solve
Must understand, interpret, apply laws, rules, regulations and policies
Ability to learn and monitor bus-based communication technology applications in a timely manner
Knowledge of transportation industry and dispatch, scheduling is a plus
