JOB SUMMARY This position is accountable for understanding and adhering to all principles, guidelines and work practices associated with operating a kosher retail food operation. In this role, he or she must maintain current knowledge of work practices associated with kosher compliance, including product vendor compliance, product receiving, storage, handling, processing and sales. This is a critically important component of the position responsibilities as strict adherence to all kosher guidelines is required to maintain kosher certification. In addition, he or she performs all other work activities assigned to the department including but not limited to front of the house activities such as sales, customer service and merchandising and back of the house responsibilities such as receiving, inventory control, weighing, pricing, wrapping and stocking of products carried in the department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Review and comply with all standard operating procedures regarding kosher certification and retail food processing requirements to ensure that kosher certification is maintained. Clean and sanitize all power equipment, hand tools, case coolers, fixtures, and other equipment. Follow all food safety requirements including hand washing, temping, food storage and employee health. Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to all safety and security programs, guidelines and regulations. Help maintain equipment through proper use, cleaning, maintenance and repairs to maximize life expectancy and minimize cost of operation. Position Overview: The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) is required to provide guidance and direction for the successful operation of a particular zone of the overall retail sales floor of a store location. The ZTL oversees a team that is passionate about merchandising and selling merchandise, as well as ensuring an exceptional associate and customer experience. Responsibilities include all aspects of merchandising, and customer service oversight. Primary Responsibilities: * Successfully execute established procedures for their assigned store zone, which includes but is not limited to, merchandising including power aisle compliance, MOS/GVC/Ollie's Follies, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery. * Ensure that store standards, Ops Center compliance, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet all operational expectations. * Oversee the Door to Floor process to ensure that merchandise is planned for and received properly, and that the sales floor is properly stocked with the merchandise in a timely manner. * Supervisory responsibility for associates operating within the assigned zone. * Ensure that all Associates are provided daily tasks and are being productive. * Ensure that all customer service standards meet company expectations. * Ensure proper scheduling and staffing for the effective unload/processing of merchandise to the sales floor. * Communicate company directives and programs to store associates and ensure that all follow-up items are completed accurately and timely. * Perform all functions to open and close the store when needed. * Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned. Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent required * Minimum of two years' retail experience in a supervisory role within a mid-size to large retail or service- oriented business. * Ability to work on site/in person evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis. * Ability to read, write and speak English. * Ability to exercise sound judgment. * Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines. * Knowledge of industry terms and processes. * Ability to effectively communicate information and delegate tasks. * Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
