The leader of this category will play a critical role as a general manager and people leader in building the portfolio and strategy of one of Amazon's core business categories. In this role you will be regularly working with senior management including C-level executives from numerous vendors, partners, and internal teams. This position is responsible for managing and developing a team focused on expanding selection, business growth, building vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, developing promotions, and monitoring and reacting to industry and competitive trends. This candidate should have experience in people management, negotiations, strategic planning, forecasting, and a background in B2B, B2C or e-commerce businesses. They must be able to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must. The right candidate will be visionary, flexible, action and results oriented, and self-starting. They must also be decisive and able to move with speed to implement their own ideas. Responsible for ministering to all the children in the classroom. Engage with children at their level of play and are encouraged to seek out those children who are having a tough time adjusting to the classroom. Implement strategies to connect and communicate with parents that supports them in the discipleship of their children. Look for opportunities to pray with the children on a regular basis as well as speak into their life. Assist in the general flow of the classroom. Could Include: Teaching a lesson, preparing a snack, craft, clean and stock rooms etc. May change diapers and assist with potty training. Check children in and check out according to established policy and procedures. We value ministering to each child and their parents as they drop children off and pick them up. Our desire is to take ground for Jesus and share His love with those we meet. Customer service is a priority. We want to show Christ's love to each family and make them feel warm and welcome. Respond promptly to requests for assistance. Make eye contact, smile and be approachable. Keep work area clean and orderly and minimize personal property within eye site and reach of the children and families we serve. QUALIFICIATIONS, REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Experience in caring for children. Strong interpersonal skills. Able to establish and maintain appropriate standards for the accomplishment of ministry in a way that honors both God and people. Personal initiative and diligence, which produces follow-through in tasks. A willingness to grow and adapt to the inevitable changes found in a local church. A willingness to work a flexible work schedule in addition to seasonal all-staff events. TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT & WORK SCHEDULE Start: January Schedule: Sundays, approximately 3:30m to 5:30 Duration: Up to 8 weeks VRL may choose to adjust the schedule and length of assignment as needed. EXPECTATIONS Attend VRL church services on a regular basis. Have attended a DNA class. Be in a life group on a regular basis. Be on a journey regarding giving and baptism. Abiding in Christ and continuing to grow toward Christlikeness and spiritual maturity. Strong interpersonal skills, clear communicator and humble-like character. Self-motivated and looks for additional areas to contribute. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail. Ability to make adjustments in work style for the benefit of the team. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as there are seasons of irregular work hours based on memorial services, events, classes and other church activities. Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of Valley Real Life.
