We are hiring for a Child and Family Mental Health Provider whose primary role will be to provide evidence-based practice, specifically Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), prior experience and training with PCIT are preferred but not required. This clinician will be a part of a team of other Child and Family Mental Health Team located in the PATH Clinic at Children's Mercy Broadway Children's Mercy Department of Social Work, Child and Family Mental Health Services provides programing, which supports families through evidence-based clinical services. Our mental health services are provided for a broad range of patients and families, including children in mental health crisis, parents struggling with child's behavioral problems, children and families who have been impacted by trauma, and children at risk for abuse and neglect. The age range for patients to receive services is as young as 2 and up to 18, or older within the emergency department should there be a need. Goals of treatment may include safety planning, crisis stabilization, skill development, enhanced resiliency, social integration, improved ability of parents to support their child, improved communication, and parenting skills. Our specially trained master level licensed clinicians are embedded throughout the hospital system within specialty clinics, ambulatory clinics, inpatient units, and emergency departments.
