Identify kinship resources for children in non-kinship placements. Build relationship by having regular contact with kin/fictive resources to develop openness and trust. Builds a network with persons close to and knowledgeable about the child, and maintain regular and on-going contact with them.
Engage in recruiting Kinship foster parents, by utilizing data base, social media, etc.
Provides family search efforts by implementing the process of identifying, locating, and contacting persons with whom the child already has, or had, a bond or positive relationship with, with the knowledge and approval of the child's caseworker.
Prepares and submits reports, calendars and other deliverables as required by agency supervisor, NYC Children's Services and/or OCFS. Assures scheduling, monitoring and tracking of all possible kinship resources.
Facilitate and scheduled 30 day conference with case planning team to discuss the outcome or barriers in identifying kinships. Tracks all identified kinship resources until placement. Actively participate in the Initial placement conference for non-kinship cases
Maintain and update foster parent “soft” files and CONNECTIONS records by completing related reports and inputting data in a timely fashion.
Collaborate and work with families, case management team (Case Planner, Supervisor and/or Director) in identifying next to Kin
Participate in weekly supervision sessions with supervisor to discuss status and progress of identifying Kinship resources, etc. as well as to apprise of any impending problems and/or unresolved issues.

Ensure safety and proper care of the children during program hours of operation. Teach children personal hygiene and ensure that children's needs are being met regarding hygiene. Regularly inspect recreational areas and all equipment for safety inspections. Oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment. Plan and supervise the appropriate arrangement of classroom equipment and furniture to endure the safety of all children involved in the program.
Work with the recreational Specialist to ensure proper development for programming for all the children of Tilden Hall. Assist volunteers working with children in the facility whether in-house or outside persons.
Daily inspection, observation, and documentation of possible injuries of children prior to entering the program, documentation of ay medical problems. Participate wherever feasible in relater training opportunities as they become available. Attend all staff meeting and participation and work.

Children in Sunday School: Teach and support children's participation in structured lessons and activities, manage the class for brief periods, clean-up the classroom after class ends
Check-in all children with a strict eye on special needs and allergies
Assist with children and families when engaged in worship activities and performances (ex: anthems and speaking on the chancel, special events, ushering, etc.)
All age groups require warm and professional interactions with our children, parents, and staff
Lead Teaching Artist: Plan and teach Sunday school lessons
Manage the class, including any behavior challenges
Support children during choir rehearsal
Promptly communicate concerns about children and families to Director of CYF
Provide mentorship and training to congregational volunteers when needed

Work Sundays. Regular shifts are 9:30am to 12:30pm with the possibility for growth
