This will be a first shift (Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm) position at our Racine facility (8635 Washington Avenue, Mt Pleasant, WI).
The Assembler II is responsible for assembling parts according to specified Work Instructions. This position may be required to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assembly tasks.

What You'll Do
Assemble components with precision and care
Ensure quality standards are met every step of the way
Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and supportive workplace
Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job and make adjustments when needed on your own.
Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work.
Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and when needed seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
High School Degree/GED Preferred
3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing desired

Those working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test
This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.

What You Will Contribute:
We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to pioneer HR support at our expanding production site in Racine. As the first HRBP on-site, this role offers a rare opportunity to shape the employee experience from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring energy, authenticity, and practical expertise-balancing strategic partnership with hands-on employee relations-to quickly earn trust and scale HR support as the site continues to grow.

Job Duties:
* Provide coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors in the areas of performance management, employee development, employee engagement, and retention.

* Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure the hiring of qualified candidates that fit Badger Meter's culture.

What You Will Contribute:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Strategic and Tactical initiatives within Badger Meter to support changing business needs. You will assist the Strategic Sourcing Manager with managing vendor relationships, new product development, project implementation, process efficiencies, implementing sourcing strategies, finding new suppliers, and evaluating current suppliers. This role may have direct buying responsibilities of commodities as the procurement department requires. The work performed in this role will support all Safety, Quality, On-time Delivery, Cost, and Continuous improvement activities to achieve Badger Meter's corporate goals.
Job Duties:
* Drive proactive involvement in all functional activities related to sourcing (attending project meetings, working with appropriate individuals to understand new part requirements, etc).
* Review and evaluate supply base by commodity to identify optimal sources for Badger Meter while consolidating to align with strong supply partners.
* Evaluate and analyze supplier capabilities to determine best overall value and recommend suppliers for development of new or improvements to existing products to the Project Teams.
* Perform on-site supplier evaluation visits to assist in the recommendation process.
* Analyze and schedule material purchases utilizing Badger Meter's ERP system and tools.
* Set planning parameters and issue PO's to support production requirements (optimizing the process to maintain short lead-times, low inventory, yet supplying required materials in a timely manner, etc).
* Support Procurement Department in necessary metric reporting or any other required procedure in the department (supplier performance reports, supplier risk analysis reports, supplier capacity reviews, supplier quality certification status, on-time delivery reporting, ppm analysis, etc).
* Up to 15% travel required.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
* 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain desired
Qualifications:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required

What You Will Contribute:
You will support customers and internal stakeholders by providing any or a combination of the following services: researching and responding to customer inquiries either in person, by telephone, e-mail, fax, or other correspondence.
Job Duties:
* Provide pricing on products over the phone, negotiate pricing with customers within account manager's threshold.
Discuss and educate customers on BEACON SAAS & Invoicing practices (Cellular, fixed, mobile solutions, etc.) with prospective and new customers.
* Achieve and maintain a deep technical understanding of the product line understand functionality and selling points of ALL products offered, the product line, its capabilities, its applicability into different customer applications, and distribution operations.
* Work with branch manager to help maintain accurate minimum balance levels for inventory in distribution warehouses and communicate with branch managers when customer's specifications change or projects end so we do not have excess inventory in warehouses for these changes.
* Work with other distribution branches to sell returned product within their territory when specifications allow and provide customer service with account specification within the territory to help expedite quotes/orders for customers accurately.
* Navigate on hand inventory report to sell inventory that can often get "lost" in the system if not managed and monitored properly.
* Understand warehouse process and help pack and ship orders for end of month/quarter if needed.
* Be the main point of contact for customers, account managers, & field support specialists for issues within the accounts and provide quick solutions. Make decisions quickly to resolve issues with a cradle to grave approach in taking ownership of all inquiries.
* Review bids, quotes, and orders to ensure accurate processing to minimize errors and assist in updating bids to ensure correct account maintenance is listed in Salesforce.
* Achieve and maintain a deep technical understanding of the product line, its capabilities, and its applicability into different customer applications.
* Communicates with branch managers when customer's specifications change or projects end so we do not have excess inventory in warehouses for these changes.

* Support facilities operations by troubleshooting varied infrastructure (HVAC, air, water, building construction, etc.), systems (CMMS, BAS, etc) and equipment in manufacturing and office operations. Recommend changes to aforementioned infrastructure, systems, and equipment.
* Provide engineering support, training, technical expertise and problem solving to all site departments on facilities items.
* Responsible for facilities related project management and execution which may include design, scope writing, budget generation, contractor comparison, contractor management and project execution for various facility renovation and upgrade projects. Projects may range in size, up to potential expenditures of several million dollars.
* Assist in development, management, and execution in capital expenditure budgets.
* Lead, manage and participate in capital expenditure infrastructure projects to support facility and GHG goals from inception to completion, which may include end user collaboration, design, government permitting and contractor management. Capital expenditure projects may include HVAC equipment, office/cube renovations, room remodels, facility expansions, facility maintenance (roofs/building exterior), general site improvements (landscaping) and general building space upgrades.
* Develop comprehensive and sustainable preventative maintenance plans for new and existing infrastructure and equipment. Leverage asset management system and other tools in support of appropriately maintaining infrastructure and equipment.
* Research, evaluate, and implement facilities technologies that place Badger Meter in a position of technological leadership with the consideration of objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment, and Employee.
* Work with other disciplines such as manufacturing engineering on facilities and plant related items such as cell layouts and continuous improvement projects. Develop and maintain sustainable processes and procedures as it relates to plant layout and infrastructure drawing management.
* Ensure that facilities meet health, safety, regulatory and legal requirements. This work may involve working with internal recourses and external organization. Badger Meter is looking for a 1st shift Assembler in our Milwaukee Plant. This person will work in a clean, air-conditioned facility. We are willing to train for the right person!
This position is responsible for overall assembly process. General duties include building, assembling, testing, injection molding and packaging a variety of meters or meter reading technology products. You will be responsible for performing the various job functions as described below at an acceptable level of efficiency and quality. The work is completed through manual assembly, utilization of various specialty pieces of equipment, or automated machinery. Employees regularly rotate through various workstations within their home department and occasionally work in other areas of the facility depending on workload and customer orders. Responsible for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work area
Major Job Duties/Accountability:
* Perform a variety of operations such as assembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, and packaging of meter products while following safety guidelines
* Assemble products, following work instructions ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements
* Set up and operate meter accuracy and leak test equipment to determine acceptability of product
* Operate computer to check schedules, obtain part drawings, set up work procedures and update manufacturing status of jobs
* Work from dispatch lists or production schedules to obtain required daily output
* Perform a variety of tasks such as operation of plastic injection molding machines and perform secondary operations to molded parts such as degating, sprue removal and drilling
* May operate and tend to multiple machines simultaneously
* Follow work instructions ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements
* Check parts visually and with the use of inspection tools, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure parts meet specified quality standards
* Perform part counts and/or scale counts and prepare identification tickets for outgoing materials
* Load, unload and debur parts
Qualifications:
* 1+ years of experience
* High School degree preferred
* Basic computer skills
* Ability to pass internal forklift and hazmat training if applicable
* Ability to work independently with little supervision

What You Will Contribute:
The Sr. Project Lead is primarily responsible for the successful completion of multiple mid to highly complex projects with minimal supervision. Individuals in this position will provide expert project management to satisfy scope, budget and schedule for assigned projects. Provide updates to the Priority Project Status Report on a timely basis.
Assess financial viability of a product as well as mitigation of financial risks (either associated with development or delays).
Manage projects to comply with requirements of the ISO 9008 Standard.
Develop & Maintain Project Burn Down Charts.
Assist Product Owner(s) in developing and maintaining the Project Backlog and assist in obtaining, managing and supporting relevant stakeholder buy-in.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Project Management department (process and value stream mapping, standard operating procedure (SOP) evaluation and development, creation, implementation, maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, etc).
Conduct Project postmortems to create and disseminate report outs relative to successful and unsuccessful completed project elements (product cost, budget, timeline, otherwise).
Assist in the development of phase gate and milestone achievement metrics (Key Performance Indicators).
Up to 15% travel required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required; Master's degree preferred

What You Will Contribute:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for advanced product research and support of mechanical and flow technologies. This includes exploration and implementation of other engineering disciplines for developing new products, enhancing existing products, or sustaining current product offerings. The Senior Engineer has direct responsibilities for the technical nature and content of the design as well as the quality, reliability, and verification. The Senior Engineer ensures all products are designed for manufacturability and assembly. This position also involves comprehensive testing, test plans, and interfacing with customers.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with internal disciplines including Marketing, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality to meet project deliverables. Project deliverables satisfy marketing and technical design criteria that achieve the project schedule, project budget, and product cost.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Create, execute, and document verification test plans to ensure products meet design, market and customer requirements. Create or direct the creation of Test Specifications to be used by Badger Meter Quality and Manufacturing departments to ensure that product is adequately tested prior to shipment to customers.
Coordinate testing with test labs when certified results are needed. These include but are not limited to, CE, NSF, UL, FM, and Intrinsic Safety.
Partner with purchasing and manufacturing engineering to determine product costs. Make design changes to reduce cost based on input from purchasing and manufacturing engineering.
Work with engineering documentation group to release newly developed products. Create or direct the creation of Product Specifications based on results of verification testing. This document with the Design Specification is used to create installation briefs, technical briefs, and other marketing documentation.
Ensure that germane new concepts are known, investigated, reviewed, and recommended for evaluation and consideration by management for new and existing products.
Work closely with Designers to develop innovative new products. Create or direct the creation of Design specifications to meet the market requirements as laid out in the Marketing Specification. Include manufacturing in the design process to assure new products are compatible with Badger Meter's production processes.
Work with Project Managers to develop project timelines and documentation including design, test and product specifications, and cost estimates.
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service departments to support existing customers and upcoming bids. Provide product return support and analysis including field troubleshooting. Work with customer support, quality, and sales to diagnose claims.
Mentor and coach technical staff, providing technical or procedural assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ or more years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
Intermediate experience with FEA and 3D Modeling.
Basic experience with LabView, MatLab, and CFD.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. (Preferred)
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint. (Preferred)

The Solution Architect is primarily responsible for the pre-sales support of the Badger Meter field sales and distribution efforts across the complete Badger Meter Water Quality product line by providing necessary technical training and assistance, Bid / RFP response information, system pre-installation planning with the customer, participating in technical seminars, representing Badger Meter at assigned trade shows, lunch and learns, and industry shows and by conducting special sales support projects and activities as required.

Provide engineering support, training, technical expertise and problem solving to all site departments on facilities items.
Responsible for facilities related project management and execution which may include design, scope writing, budget generation, contractor comparison, contractor management and project execution for various facility renovation and upgrade projects. Projects may range in size, up to potential expenditures of several million dollars.
Assist in development, management, and execution in capital expenditure budgets.
Lead, manage and participate in capital expenditure infrastructure projects to support facility and GHG goals from inception to completion, which may include end user collaboration, design, government permitting and contractor management. Capital expenditure projects may include HVAC equipment, office/cube renovations, room remodels, facility expansions, facility maintenance (roofs/building exterior), general site improvements (landscaping) and general building space upgrades.
Develop comprehensive and sustainable preventative maintenance plans for new and existing infrastructure and equipment. Leverage asset management system and other tools in support of appropriately maintaining infrastructure and equipment.
Research, evaluate, and implement facilities technologies that place Badger Meter in a position of technological leadership with the consideration of objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment, and Employee.

Conducting research in software and computer technology for use in new product development and/or enhancing existing products.
Performing project management functions for the assigned projects by providing a list of all tasks involved in those assignments, an estimate of each one's completeness, an estimate of the number of hours needed to complete the task, and the relationship between all such tasks.
Performing all needed documentation for the assigned development work.
Performing software design, coding, and testing that is needed to complete the assignment.
Interface with SQA to define test requirements.
Ensuring that new concepts, ideas, and technologies are known, investigated, reviewed, and recommended for evaluation by the supervisor.
Developing and maintaining self-improvement programs to assume greater responsibility and project assignments
Maintain confidentiality of company intellectual property and customer information
Travel to customer sites for product beta testing and investigation of customer issues as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ or more years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
Programming experience in Python, C#, Java, or other object-oriented languages
Core Expertise:
Backend: Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
Frontend: React (with TypeScript preferred)
Additional Skills:
Experience building and deploying in AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
Working knowledge of Elasticsearch (a plus)
Experience with APIs (REST), CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, Tabnine) to improve productivity and code quality (a plus).
Knowledgeable of software development concepts, processes, and tools
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a team environment
Demonstrates strong initiative and motivation
Demonstrates appropriate judgment and decision making
