This position is in support of the Cummins Client to provide technical product support for Meritor heavy duty truck components. Responsibilities include technical troubleshooting, warranty adjudication, product support and customer support related to contacts from the Customer's clients and Customer personnel involving customer products, and processing product warranty claims. Representatives provide technical support and warranty adjudication on heavy truck systems for an industry leading customer assistance call center. This position is client facing and spends much time interacting with the client's North American Field Operations as well as providing specialized mechanical/technical support and warranty adjudication for the following product lines to repair facility networks throughout North America (U.S. and Canada). The position also includes the processing and verification of warranty claims. Training would be provided on all products and software used in daily tasks. Responsibilities: + Responsible for managing, reporting, and self-assessing Contractor Outcomes of the Government Property Management System as applicable to each business unit. + Handle the maintenance of records and issuance of required contractual and FAR reports concerning government-owned property from its receipt at the company to its final disposition after contract completion or termination. + Performing self-assessment and support of the Government s annual survey of the Government Property Management System. + Maintain auditable records of government-owned property located at the facility and associated vendor/subcontractor facilities or other alternate sites. + Ensure records include authority to have the property and an audit trail of acquisition, receipt, identification, records, physical inventory, utilization, reports, sub-contractor control, maintenance, disposition and contract property closeout. + Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to government property. + Maintain auditable backup data and files e.g. Loss, Theft, Damage or Destruction of property (LTDD); Reports of Discrepancy (RODS); report applicable property in the Item Unique Identification (IUID) registry; and reports of inventory and plant clearance. + Write a moderate amount of correspondence to internal and external customers, vendors, and DCMA personnel. + Prepare draft procedure changes to implement FAR/DFARS requirements or locally directed management changes. + Prepare status reports to management on departmental activities. + Reviews vendor/subcontractor s control of government property in coordination with the Purchasing, Subcontracts Departments and Program Management. + Performs self-assessment audits of compliance to published procedures and FAR/DFARS requirements. + Coordinates all aspects of the analysis by interfacing with appropriate department personnel and the DCMA s Property Administrator, if necessary, secure any corrective actions necessary. + Assist in appropriate phases of the Government s survey of a Line of Business, (LOB) site s Government Property Management System. + Assures that deficiencies noted during the survey are immediately addressed by informing the responsible supervisors of the findings, recommending solutions and assisting in the development and implementation of the corrective action plan. + Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements. + Create, update, and maintain records (active and retired) in current and accurate status reflecting the various life cycle events (cradle to grave) including maintaining supportable evidence via soft or hard copy of the life cycle transactions. + Provide government property guidance on all new business proposals or contract awards. + Interface with other functions to ensure property record keeping and reporting. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor s degree with 2 years experience, including 1 year in Property Administration or equivalent education/experience + Possess working knowledge of in-plant managerial relationships and operations. + Proficient interpersonal and influencing skills to interface with government representatives and internal departments. + Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. + Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. + Good planning, time management and organization skills. + Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel, customers, and suppliers. + Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents. + Proficiency in use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database development programs (such as Word, Excel, ERPs, and Access). + Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. + Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills. + Excellent computer skills, as well as written and verbal communications skills. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Knowledge of PIEE System, UID Registry and DCMA eTools. + Experience with Oracle, Sunflower, or other property systems + Certification in National Property Management Association (NPMA). + Experience in a Defense Contracting environment and Government Property experience + Solid working knowledge of FAR part 52.245-1 and 45, DFARS part 245 and other contract clauses impacting government property. + Writing skills must be adequate to write procedures implementing FAR/DFARS changes and make the necessary reports and correspondence. + National Property Management Association (NPMA) membership and certification as a Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS), or the ability to obtain the certification within one year of hire. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $66084 - $112343 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
