SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced External Manufacturing Leader to oversee and manage relationships with external manufacturing partners across various sites, specifically those involved in the production of radiotracers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, including 21 CFR 212, and familiarity with radiopharmaceuticals, radiopharmacies, and Board of Pharmacy requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact and key liaison between the company and external manufacturing partners, particularly those involved in radiotracer production
Cultivate and maintain strong, effective relationships with external manufacturing sites to ensure consistent, high-quality production and compliance.
Lead and participate in regular business reviews, aligning the external manufacturers' performance with corporate goals, and addressing any issues proactively. Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all external manufacturing operations adhere to safety regulations, particularly in the production of radiotracers, and comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.
Monitor and enforce compliance with 21 CFR 212 (for the production of radiopharmaceuticals), FDA regulations, and other relevant guidelines, ensuring all manufactured radiotracers meet stringent regulatory standards.
Oversee adherence to the Board of Pharmacy regulations, particularly with respect to radiopharmacies and the handling of radiopharmaceuticals.
Quality & Delivery Assurance:
Manage the quality assurance processes to ensure the consistent production of high-quality radiotracers in compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of radiotracers, working with external manufacturers to address any issues related to production delays or capacity.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions, and continuously improve quality control processes.
Speed & Cost Management:
Optimize manufacturing processes to balance speed-to-market needs with cost-effectiveness, particularly for the production of radiopharmaceutical products.
Work closely with external manufacturers to drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
Ensure that external manufacturing costs are managed effectively, including negotiating pricing and terms with vendors to align with the company's financial objectives.
Risk Management:
Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to external manufacturing operations, including production, regulatory compliance, and supply chain risks, especially with radiotracers.
Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions in radiotracer production, supply chain issues, or regulatory changes. • Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including Supply Chain, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and R&D, to ensure alignment and smooth operations across external manufacturing activities.
Provide leadership and regular updates to senior management on the performance of external manufacturers, focusing on key issues, risks, and solutions.
Performance Metrics:
Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for external manufacturing performance, ensuring alignment with business goals for radiotracer production.
Track and report on the performance of external partners to drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, cost, speed, and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Supply Chain, or similar) preferred.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in external manufacturing or operations management within regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or radiopharmaceuticals.
Proven track record in managing relationships with multiple external manufacturing sites, including contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
Solid experience in quality management, compliance, and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing operations, particularly in regulated environments.
Demonstrated success in optimizing production processes for speed and cost while maintaining high regulatory standards.
Desired Qualifications:
In-depth experience with radiotracers, radiopharmacies, and 21 CFR 212 regulations, including handling and production of radiopharmaceuticals.
Extensive knowledge of 21 CFR 212, FDA regulations, and GMP as they apply to radiopharmaceuticals and external manufacturing.
Strong understanding of radiopharmacy operations, Board of Pharmacy requirements, and the handling of radiotracers in accordance with industry standards.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to analyze complex data, identify areas for process improvement, and implement actionable solutions.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is a plus. • Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing global manufacturing operations, particularly in the production of radiotracers.
Prior experience working in a radiopharmaceutical company or a similar regulated manufacturing environment.
Certification in quality management or project management is a plus.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Issue and return materials to/from production using inventory management systems, maintaining real-time inventory accuracy and proper documentation.
Conduct physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and material reconciliations of the raw materials and components.
Conduct the preparation of finished products for shipment, including packing, labeling, and ensuring that all items are ready for transportation.
Coordinate shipping, ensuring the correct materials are shipped on time to meet customer requirements.
Assist in the creation, revision, and control of SOPs, work instructions, and training documents to ensure they reflect current processes and regulatory requirements.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) by completing accurate, timely, and legible documentation (e.g., logbooks, device history records).
Assist in identifying, documenting, and escalating non-conformances (NCRs) and supporting root cause investigations and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

Qualifications

**Job Description**
**Role Responsibilities:**
+ Test production assemblies and sub-assemblies for correct operation and compliance to performance specifications.
+ From detailed instructions, set up or modify equipment, calibrate and operate equipment (mainly routine tests & manufacturing operations).

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Associates degree in a Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields, or a High School diploma and 2 years' experience as defined by having demonstrated electrical specific skills at a technician equivalent role proven in a formal educational and/or work environment.
+ Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem-solving techniques
+ Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process
+ Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
+ Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
+ Demonstrated attention to detail and quality-minded work habits
+ Ability to communicate using English (or local language)

What you will do

Under limited supervision, perform equipment setup, operation, troubleshoot to meet all standards for safety, quality and efficiency.
Maintain machine uptime, perform any fault clearing and clear stoppages on automated equipment.

Stores and handles material (i.e., performs clerical work pertinent thereto; operates various equipment for transporting cylinders and drums; drives heavy trucks and equipment; properly spaces and stores materials including weighing, tagging, and description of contents; performs inspection of containers before movement)
Maintains awareness of proper and current procedures to follow regarding work hazards and risks (i.e., cylinder rupture)
Minimum Requirements

Prefers Associate's Degree

Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Available to Medical Imaging CT Staff for protocol consultation. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Functions:
1. Work with multiple physician specialties (cardiologists, radiologists, surgeons, etc.) to determine needs and deliver/develop appropriate imaging studies.
2. Assess customer & co-worker needs, determine the appropriate action, and appropriately assist as needed.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and the technical factors necessary to produce high-quality non-invasive angiographic procedures.
4. Develop procedures & protocol in conjunction with Medical Imaging managers.
5. Responsible for accurate billing & reimbursement issues related to the MRI and CT programs.
6. Coordinates and manages the Imaging Reconstruction Program, including training technologists and physicians, maintaining competencies, and monitoring quality measures.
7. Works closely with the PACS team to ensure appropriate storage and transmission of angiographic data.
8. Functions as an Imaging Technologist as needed.
9. Follows radiation and MRI safety policies and procedures.

Starting Wage DOE: $33.66 - 46.39

With minimal supervision, assists and performs adult diagnostic and interventional angiography - peripheral vascular procedures. This includes (but not limited to) EKOS, TEVAR, and ECMO. Able to meet all performance standards in the scrub and circulating positions. Works well with a team and is an effective team member. Responsible for patient and family education and support.
Essential Job Functions
* Scrub: Scrub assistant to the physician. Sets up and maintains the sterile field as well as arterial and venous lines. Positions patient while under the radiation beam to visualize peripheral anatomy. Performs angiographic analysis. Operates x-ray equipment, balancing quality imaging with radiation safety, assists in catheter/wire manipulation.
* Circulator: Monitors the patient condition and response to treatment pre, during, and post procedure. Circulators need to have a basic knowledge of medications patients are receiving in the Hybrid Lab. Provides procedural education for patients and family. Safely transports patients to and from the Hybrid. Verifies proper patient preparation pre-procedure. Performs arterial/venous sheath removal. Able to operate and troubleshoot Hybrid procedural equipment.
* Equipment operations: Assist with operating and troubleshooting equipment in the Hybrid. This equipment includes, but is not limited to x-ray and intravascular ultrasound, reporting problems to internal or external service representatives and documenting as such. Work closely with the Bio Medical Department to ensure that preventative maintenance is done timely.
* Informs management of any unusual concerns, situations, or conditions relative to staff, patients, and physicians.
* Operates, monitors, evaluates, and troubleshoots angiographic imaging and processing equipment. Appropriately notifies and documents service needs and provides follow-up. Serves as a technical resource to the department for radiographic equipment. Assist with: orientation and training of staff members to radiographic equipment, radiation safety including annual training and documentation, radiation safety apparel and radiation badges, monthly and annual service reports to the hospital radiation physicist. Ensures radiological services provided are in compliance with standards established by the institution, state, local, and federal agencies.
* Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development.
* Attends OR staff meetings and participates in departmental committees as required.
* Maintains working knowledge of all products/procedures related to diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures.
* Communicates regularly with other staff regarding changes in the workflow schedule or physician protocol.
* Assists in identifying products needed (out of stock or new items)
* Assumes equitable share of department housekeeping duties (cleaning, restocking, filing, etc.).
* Utilizes non-procedure time in a constructive manner to benefit the department or organization.

Education
* Graduate of a recognized approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in Radiological Technology
Certifications and Licenses
