A Successful HDD Operator is specially trained and has expertise in locating for horizontal/directional drill rigs and product support equipment. This individual will be primarily responsible for setting up and completing drilling variable-sized underground boreholes and pulling back the required conduit/pipe. As a Directional Driller/Equipment Operator, you are responsible for running various directional drilling equipment; Directional Drill, (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) Vac. Truck, Mud Truck, Excavator, Forklift, Dump truck, Locator, along with others not listed. What You'll Do Responsibilities: All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment. Locate for Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable. Ensure safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities. Operate Horizontal Directional Drill Assist in potholing and remediation. Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins. Ability to Read and Comprehend utility locates. Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine. Ability to properly formulate and mix drilling mud for the site conditions. Must be reliable. A Security SOC Operator may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security SOC Operator will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
