Our bakeries are filled with the delicious tastes and sweet smells of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and bars- all baked from scratch, on-site daily, using the freshest and finest ingredients. The pastry baker assists in the culinary operations by managing and producing of all the baked goods along side other culinary team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage production and prepare a wide variety of standard and custom baked goods according to recipes
- Mix, bake, build, decorate, and inscribe products in an efficient manner (as applicable)
- Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of previous culinary experience, pastry/baking experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work in cross functional roles as needed (front-of house & back-of-house)
- Must have reliable transportation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Baker
- Responsible for frying donuts, placing toppings, and decorating on needed pastries and bread
- General Oven Duties (Checking dough conditioner)
- Preparing needed materials and ingredients
- Responsible for scaling and shaping of all breads, loaves, and pastries
- Sanitization procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness of work station and kitchen
- General knowledge of production methods and organization of bread production
- Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
- Complete various reports for records such as production, usage, and waste
Cake Team Member
- Responsible for scaling, decorating and producing of Desserts, Pastries and Cakes
- General knowledge of production methods and organization of Confectionary production
- Knowledge of recipes and procedures of production
- Ensure cake display is presentable for internal and external customers
- Make creams and sauces for cakes and pastries
