Qualifications
Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Minimum of 7 years of progressive pastry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or executive role.
Formal training from an accredited culinary or pastry arts program preferred.
Strong portfolio demonstrating artistic flair, technical mastery, and innovative design.
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Bakers strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner. The Baker will execute and understand recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use frostings, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to enhance item presentation, and process orders from customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide superior customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payment.
Read, understand, and execute recipes.
Measure and combine ingredients using blenders, heat sources, scales, and other kitchen equipment.
Decorate using frosting, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to enhance item presentation and display finished product.
Perform test and quality checks on ingredients and finished products, to ensure each item meets food safety and quality controls.
Make and ball dough, frost and decorate cookies.
Maintain proper storage of food products.
Work quickly while accurately following a recipe.
Maintain cleanliness of the store.
Work with a team to accurately complete tasks
Clean and restock the workstation and ensure all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
Keep records relating to orders, deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
Ensure adequate levels of finished goods and boxes to fill orders.
