As a Jr. FieldService Engineer, you will provide services that will range in scope from performing standard maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of Waygate Technologies Equipment: Phoenix 2D & 3D CT X-ray Testing machine hardware and software products at Waygate and customer locations. Travel expected in excess of 70%.
As a Jr. FieldService Engineer, after a rigorous Technical Training Program you will be responsible for:
* Maintain, repair, and install industrial x-ray systems and supporting peripheral equipment, such as: X-ray tubes, generators, coolers, scanners, stepper motors/controllers, power supplies, high voltage control circuits, motion control and high-end PC's.
* Providing customers with technical support via phone and onsite service
* Providing timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.
* Being responsible for driving customer satisfaction from commitment through quality service standards.
* Monitoring site safety during work scope execution.

To be successful in this role you will require:
* Possess a two-year technical degree (AEET, AMET) and at least 4 years of previous experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment OR Possess a four-year technical degree in Electronics (BSEET, BSEE) or Mechanics (BSMET, BSME).
* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
* Candidate must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example: verification of past employment, criminal history, driving record and educational background.
* Be able to travel up to 70% of the time for work
* Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
* Must currently hold valid US citizenship status

The annual pay scale for this position is between $57,100.00 - $136,800.00.
Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed above represents Baker Hughes' good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. How You Will Make an Impact:
The FieldServiceTechnician provides professional service and support for customers by overseeing fieldservice installation, startup, repairs, and maintenance for generators. Must be willing to work in all outdoor climates, be on call, and travel to various customers within their designated region.
Responsibilities:
Maintain working knowledge of power generation systems and its components, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards, and proper usage of the equipment to troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions.
Troubleshoot, perform diagnostic testing, load-bank testing, start-ups on generators, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on generator systems.
Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals for practical application on repair and maintenance tasks.
Prepare accurate quotes for repairs and complete/submit work orders.
Coordinate service dates with lease operators of customer site
Maintain reliability and working order of unit fleet.
Required to be part of an on-call rotation to meet scheduling needs of the department.
Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.

Performing in autonomy some of the Installation and/or Maintenance activities of HGT or CECO equipment in the Field at Customer Sites.
Being responsible to perform minor/major maintenance of equipment following the Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
Being the primary contact to work with the Customer Representative and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
Providing records of all activities accomplished at Customer Site to the Baker Hughes Supervisor and promotes and maintains good team relations.
Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all Service applicable processes and procedures.
Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work. He/she may be able to provide limited troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).

Have Two-year Technical Degree preferred and industry experience and Turbomachinery Product Services product line training required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Skills/Capabilities and Education:
* Technical or trade school certification, college degree, or additional work experience in a related field.
* At least 7 years of experience in gas compression with a preference for CAT, Ariel, and/or Cummins.
* CAT Gas Engine II, Troubleshooting, Electronics certifications; CAT 3500, 3600, ADEM 3 and ADEM 4, Ariel Mechanics 1 and 2, Murphy panel a plus.
* Valid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record history acceptable to USA Compression.
