We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician I to join our team in Round Lake, Illinois. This is a hands-on, entry-level role perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and committed to quality and safety.
There are two shifts available:
Day Shift:
5am to 5:30pm
2-2-3 Schedule (36 hours one week then 48 hours)
Pay: $21.00 (after 720 hours worked get bumped to $22.00)
Night Shift:
5pm to 5:30am
2-2-3 Schedule ( 36 hours one week then 48 hours)
Pay: $22.68 (after 720 hours worked get bumped up to $23.76)
In this role, you will be responsible for executing production processes while strictly following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), environmental, health, and safety guidelines. You will play a vital role in our 24/7 manufacturing operation, ensuring our products are made to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
Inspect manufactured products for irregularities or defects.
Operate general production equipment such as labelers, parts washers, and autoclaves.
Perform manual cleaning of portable equipment and the production area.
Complete relevant paperwork, adhering to GDP/GMP guidelines.
Communicate any issues related to safety, quality, or equipment to the manufacturing lead or supervisor.
Assist with troubleshooting process problems and participate in continuous improvement teams.

Follow blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to assemble mechanical and electronic devices.
Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, solder, epoxy, press fit, and/or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on printed circuit boards and chassis.
Connect component leads to printed circuit boards or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points using soldering procedures and equipment.
May perform assembly operations under a microscope or another magnifying device.
May be required to work in a Clean Room environment, must be able to adhere to the Clean Room standard operating procedure.
Perform on-line go-not-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Participate to daily operations/production team briefings and provide inputs to priorities and operation status.

Maintain Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Ensures production data is recorded and accurate.
Perform autonomous maintenance tasks based on training and qualifications.
Perform changeovers, tool set-ups, and machine adjustments to define center lines.
Perform project and process improvement tasks to qualify materials and products on equipment.
Identify and correct line abnormalities, ensure to communicate to the Supervisor and team members.
Escalate problem(s) encountered to the Manufacturing supervisor.
Work together and assist engineers (process, equipment, maintenance, Industrial) during evaluations, problem solving, experiments, and improvements.
Improve and maintain a clean work environment by following 5S housekeeping and production area cleaning standards.
Improve personal capability by learning and performing improved levels of equipment improvement by developing improved standards of operation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to operate and maintain automated equipment, computer systems and/or product distribution systems.

Education and Experience:
Ideally a high school diploma or similar
Minimum 2+ Years in Manufacturing
Must have experience working on shifts
Working conditions:
Must be able to stand and walk 90% of shift - 12 hours per workday.
Day Shift 6:45am-7pm / Night Shift: 6:45pm-7am
Must be physically able to reach 5ft while lifting 10.31 pounds (very frequently).
Must be physically able to bend and stoop to pick up items 2ft from the ground (very frequently)
No long fingernails allowed - all fingernails must be kept short

Our Plant Operates 24/7. The shifts we have available work on a 2:2:3 schedule. Meaning working 2 days on - 2 days off then 3 days on - so that each employee works every other weekend. Our shifts go for days starting at 7am - 7pm and then for nights 7pm - 7am.
