About the Role
At Crusoe, our Site Reliability Engineering team ensures the reliability and scalability of Crusoe's AI-optimized cloud platform. We're looking for an SRE with a strong background in distributed systems and hands-on experience with large language models to help us build and operate managed AI services at scale. This role is central to delivering highly available, performant, and cost-efficient AI infrastructure that powers compute-intensive, latency-sensitive workloads for our customers.
What You'll Work On:
Design and operate reliable managed AI services with a focus on serving and scaling LLM workloads
Build automation and reliability tooling to support distributed AI pipelines and inference services
Define, measure, and improve SLIs/SLOs across AI workloads to ensure performance and reliability targets are met
Collaborate with AI, platform, and infrastructure teams to optimize large-scale training and inference clusters
Automate observability by building telemetry and performance tuning strategies for latency-sensitive AI services
Investigate and resolve reliability issues in distributed AI systems using telemetry, logs, and profiling
Contribute to the architecture of next-generation distributed systems purpose-built for AI-first environments
What You'll Bring:
Strong software engineering background - experience building production-grade systems beyond scripting or Bash
Demonstrated experience in distributed systems design and implementation
Hands-on work with large language models (LLMs) or AI/ML infrastructure
SRE mindset and experience (whether or not under the SRE title) including:
Defining and measuring SLIs/SLOs
Building monitoring and observability systems

5+ years of experience in cloud operations, SRE, or related roles

The Marathon Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility has an opening for an Electrical Reliability Engineer. Minimum Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.(Education must be obtained before start date.)
Must have at least 5 years post-degree experience in Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering or Electrical related fields in the refining, petrochemical or other heavy related industry.
Must have steady employment history.
Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be proficient at Microsoft: Excel, Word and Outlook.
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator), be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and take hair drug test and physical.
Must have a clean and valid driver's license. (MPC determines valid status.)
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
Travel Requirement is 5-10% or less.
The base schedule for this position is 4-10s (Mon-Thu 6:00am to 4:30pm). Alternate schedules (such as 5-8s or 9-80) may be available. The position is expected to support a rotating on-call calendar approx. 4-6 weeks per year and Outages/Turnaround (TAR) as needed. Periodic overtime work, including weekends may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
7 years plus experience post-degree experience in Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering or Electrical related fields in the refining, petrochemical or other heavy related industry is preferred.
Experience with industrial electrical equipment (motor starters, protective relays, panels/switchracks, substations), electrical area classification, management of change (MOC) processes, and industry standards (NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, API, etc.) is preferred.
Experience in the use of Electrical management software such PowerDB and ETAP is preferred.
Previous experience in supervising or mentoring is preferred.

This role will be responsible for driving improvements in the reliability of rotating and reciprocating equipment (internal combustion engines, compressors, fans, pumps, motors etc.) for NG & NGL. This will be achieved through the active monitoring and evaluation using specialized analysis equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creates and maintains a culture of safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
• Collect and analyze vibration data on rotating and reciprocating equipment, using a Windrock Analyzer to identify issues (e.g., compressor valve leakage, misalignment).
• Support the evaluation of preventative maintenance scope and timing through independent assessments using vibration equipment, borescopes, and engine/compressor analyzers.
• Provides technical assistance in the operations and maintenance of equipment and provides training on equipment operations and maintenance policies and procedures.
• Supports Project Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance with the installation and commissioning of new equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Actively participate in RCFA investigations, providing vibration data and insights to identify failure causes and support standard practice development.
• Calibrates and maintains analytical equipment.
• Must be comfortable working with remote supervision.
• Travel is required and may occasionally include out-of-town nights and weekend travel.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must hold a valid Driver License and have an excellent driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with reciprocating and rotating machinery repair and/or machinery diagnostics.
• Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of gas compression equipment and their support systems.
Skills:
• Excellent planning and organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize assignments according to business needs.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills - proven ability to produce clear, concise written reports, and discuss and review, and present technical information.
• Experience with reciprocating engine/motor/compressor condition monitoring systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze engines and compressor with Windrock Analyzer.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and troubleshoot vibration problems, with an understanding of spectral analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in using electronic databases as well as storage and archival of electronic data.
• Strong understanding of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint computer programs along with proprietary analyzer software.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills.
