Partner with the best As a Jr. Field Service Engineer, you will provide services that will range in scope from performing standard maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and calibration of Waygate Technologies Equipment: Phoenix 2D & 3D CT X-ray Testing machine hardware and software products at Waygate and customer locations. Travel expected in excess of 70%. As a Jr. Field Service Engineer, after a rigorous Technical Training Program you will be responsible for: * Maintain, repair, and install industrial x-ray systems and supporting peripheral equipment, such as: X-ray tubes, generators, coolers, scanners, stepper motors/controllers, power supplies, high voltage control circuits, motion control and high-end PC's. * Providing customers with technical support via phone and onsite service * Providing timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements. * Being responsible for driving customer satisfaction from commitment through quality service standards. * Monitoring site safety during work scope execution. In this position, the Repair Technician learns the standard practices, procedures, principles, theory, and technical aspects required to provide support to the Coatings Department for coatings applications, surface preparation, masking, grit blast, fixturing, shot peen and other duties as requested. Can demonstrate the ability to learn the technical and mechanical competence required in the Coatings areas and conduct activities for Coatings production. Reports To: ARM Supervisor Work Location: 6401 North Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041 Position Responsibilities Perform duties listed in repair technician documentation in compliance with company specifications, procedures, and work instructions. Ability to follow directions from supervisors. Perform the procedures required to perform the coatings in a reasonable time frame and show initiative to continue learning all the processes, as well as assist in areas elsewhere in the shop when called upon. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Comply with and meet all safety standards. Be a team provider in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement environment. Provide operational support towards process improvements. Works well in cross functional teams and with others in a fast paced & dynamic environment. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED Must read, write and speak fluent English. Physical requirements (lifting 35lbs frequently & up to 150 lbs. using hoists, standing, bending, etc.) Mental requirements (analyzing, interpreting, organizing, problem solving, etc.) Equipment use (air grinders, belt sanders, drills, positioners, abrasive blasting, forklift, pallet jack, etc.) Working conditions (indoors/outdoors, noisy environment, dusty, etc.) Must have good hand to eye coordination. Must be able to pay attention to detail. Use basic pneumatic grinding tools, hand tools, and basic metal fabrication machinery. Use basic measurement tools, micrometers, calipers, etc. Safely use lifting equipment. Ability to read, understand and follow instructions verbally and/or written (traveler) in English.
