This role is ideal for someone who is interested in learning about our Danish heritage and able to manage the daily operation of a bakery. RESPONSIBILITIES ● Oversee daily production of breads, ryes, rolls, and pastries according to our traditional Danish recipes ● Observe and maintain the quality of products being baked, and adjust oven temperatures, baking time accordingly ● Management of a team of up to 6 - handling daily scheduling ● Management of bakery, including organization and cleanliness of dried storage and fridges ● Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, heat sources, and other equipment ● Checking-in and accepting deliveries from our purveyors● Follow portion standards ● Monitor inventory of ingredients for production ● Properly label and store ingredients ● Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations ● Maintain a clean and orderly bake shop and adhere to health and safety standards QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS ● Completion of a Culinary School program or apprenticeship preferred ● Positive and problem-solving attitude ● A genuine passion and knowledge for bread ● Dependable and hard-working ● 2-4 years of professional baking experience preferred.
