Panadero Assistant (Mexican Bread) Job Description
It is the Panadero Assistant's role to be responsible for preparing food products in adherence to La Familia Cortez Restaurants' high-quality and sanitation standards. Strict adherence to standardized recipes is critical and must be maintained at all times. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by other Team Leaders and/or Managers at any time.
Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements:
Experienced in the making of Mexican Pan Dulce (pastries)
Assist with preparation, cooking, baking, packing;
Assist in the preparation of bread, cookies, cupcakes, and pan dulces;
Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner;
Understand kitchen equipment and the operation of the equipment;
Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant;
Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized;
Handles, stores, and rotates all food items properly;
Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills;
Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Bakery Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds;
Must be able to work in extreme kitchen temperatures;
Must be able to work shifts of varying amounts of times and hours, including Overnight, mornings, weekends, and holidays;
Must be fluent in Spanish.
