* Will provide relief for the bread line: covering divider, molders, oven proofer, pan stacker, slicer/feeder, robot operator, inspector, and basket feed.
* Should expect to cover a job on a full-day basis should the need arise.
* Must support all plant safety, quality, SAP, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. El Camino Baking Company and Sixteen Bricks are hiring a night baker with pastry/viennoiserie baking experience.
This job is full-time, and candidates should expect to work four days a week, 10-hour shifts on average. Bake days are Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday each week starting in the evening for pastry delivery the following day to customers. The fourth workday is negotiable during the hiring process and will be used as a prep/kitchen day. All full-time employees are eligible for benefits including majority employer-paid health insurance, PTO, and holiday pay.
Responsibilities include properly proofing and baking pastries to correct specification per product, finishing items post-bake with correct fillings, toppings, etc., and packaging all orders to prepare for delivery. Starting hourly wage for the position is $21.00 and is relative to experience and skill level.

WHAT OUR BREAD BAKER DOES:
Prepare food items, following standard recipes and procedures within a specified time
Read prep list and prep items, as assigned
Properly measure and assemble ingredients required to accurately follow recipe or instructions
Clean, organize, stock, and maintain work area, walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area, which may include bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and working with cleaning agents
Rinse and cut raw food products

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Will provide relief for the bread line: covering divider, molders, oven proofer, pan stacker, slicer/feeder, robot operator, inspector, and basket feed.
Should expect to cover a job on a full-day basis should the need arise.
Must support all plant safety, quality, SAP, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. This support may include but is not limited to:
serving in the role of 5S Leader, actively participating in all audits (i.e. Daily Sweep,
Weekly Spot, etc.)
and all aspects of team concepts, such as displaying a positive attitude, which are necessary to work collaboratively within a team environment. The person in this position must also perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor and/or manager.
