Summary
The Service Department Head iis responsible for overall results of the department including safety, quality control, profitability, and customer satisfaction for commercial and industrial service work.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School graduate / College preferred
Years of Experience: 10 Years minimum experience in the roofing industry
Certifications: 30 Hour OSHA Construction card, First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne pathogen training

Computer - Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and scheduling
Excellent writing skills
Exceptional organizations skills
High degree of self-confidence
Motivated and professional
Must speak English fluently and Spanish is a plus
Extensive knowledge of roofing which includes - BUR, shingles, tile, single-ply, metal, waterproofing techniques and products, working knowledge of trusses, light weight concrete deck systems, and AC work that is closely related to roofing
Essential Functions
Provide safe working environment for BRC crews, subcontractors, and others
Maintain and improve quality control
Motivate / direct office and field employees assigned to department including interviewing, hiring, training and promoting employee growth
Coordinate sales effort with salesman and provide necessary support for success of team
Oversee setup, processing, and invoicing work orders
Review aging report and resolve any issues
Promote continual growth of department at the rate determined each quarter by General Manager
Continual improvement of quality control and customer satisfaction
Coordination with Department Heads and Service Managers located at other branches
Physical Demands
Requires standing up for long periods of time
Requires use of ladders, scaffolds, and stairways
Requires ability to climb, lift, balance, walk, and handle materials
Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing

Thoroughly review job file and shop drawing with manager and including the scope of work, materials ordered and delivery schedule, budget for labor productions (man-days), and job site contacts
Ensure that proper safety and equipment are on the job and used in the proper manner; Foreman needs to coordinate these needs with the manager but is ultimately responsible
Supervise and support crew every day about safety, quality, and labor production
Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc.
Prepare and submit daily job reports, field progress problems, technical questions, and timesheets, as directed by manager
Responsible for overall quality control of each job including: checking for water tightness, mops left on the roof, ensuring the job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly, coordinate punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site for the last time
Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
Cut felt, shingles, and strips of flashing, and fit them into angles formed by walls, vents, and intersecting roof surfaces
Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams
Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap using chalk lines, gauges on shingling hatchets, or lines on shingles

QuestMark Flooring is hiring a Regional Sales Representative to lead sales efforts in the Greater Richmond area. If you're a driven professional with experience in commercial floor coatings, concrete polishing or industrial flooring, we are looking for YOU to generate new business, close deals and guide projects seamlessly to completion with our operations team.
This role offers an annual total compensation (salary & commission) of $125k - $200k first year.
What You'll Do:
Identify & prospect clients in commercial, industrial and manufacturing sectors
Build market presence through networking, events and direct outreach
Develop strong client relationships by providing tailored solutions and guiding them through the sales process
Track sales activities and client interactions in CRM (Salesforce)
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and pitches to close deals
Negotiate profitable contracts and pricing agreements
Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth project execution
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of experience in sales, project management or business development-preferably in commercial flooring, coatings or concrete polishing
Proven ability to prospect, qualify and close deals
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales software
Problem-solver who thrives under pressure and tackles challenges proactively
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field (preferred)
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory

Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc.
Prepare and submit daily job reports, field progress problems, technical questions, and timesheets, as directed by manager
Responsible for overall quality control of each job including: checking for water tightness, mops left on the roof, ensuring the job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly, coordinate punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site for the last time
Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
Cut felt, shingles, and strips of flashing, and fit them into angles formed by walls, vents, and intersecting roof surfaces
Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams
Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap using chalk lines, gauges on shingling hatchets, or lines on shingles
Covering roofs and exterior walls of structures with slate, single-ply systems, asphalt, aluminum, wood, gravel, gypsum, and/or related materials, using brushes, knives, punches, hammers, and other tools.
