GENERAL PURPOSE * Seniority level Entry level * Employment type Part-time * Hourly Wage $11-$13 hr (Plus tips) * Industries Food & Beverages, Food Production, and Retail The purpose of this position is to sell Chips fresh baked cookies by giving remarkable customer service. This person will educate customers about all our different cookies and assist them in choosing the right one for their needs. This person will package and label product, fill shelves and cases, help prepare cookie dough for the next days needs, bake cookies, and providing exceptional customer service Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures * Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the bakery provides * Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the bakery * Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items * Ensures the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance * Assists customers with cookies and special orders * Washes and puts away bowls, pans and baking trays * Delivers excellent customer service to all customers * Accurately packages and labels bakery products * Fills shelves and cases with product * Re-stocks the bakery and helps sort and put away bakery products when deliveries come in * Minimizes waste in the department by following production sheets, watching code dates and appropriately rotating items * Assists managers, bakers, and drivers as needed Marginal Duties & Responsibilities * Performs other job-related duties as assigned * Prepares and bakes items * Assists customers * Consistent and daily interaction with store associates * Consistent and daily interaction with customers Training & Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Also requires standing, climbing, walking and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
