Job Responsibilities
* Measures, mixes, and prepares raw materials according to company specifications and recipes.
* Forms, cuts, molds, shapes, and bakes dough.
* Monitors cooking completion times and sets heat and humidity temperatures for proof box.
* Checks product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards.
* Ensures temp, sweep, and sanitation logs are completed.
* Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
* Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
* Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
* Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
* Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.

POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for a true baking and pastry professional to join our team of artisan bakers. What is the Role?
Position Summary:

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for frying donuts, placing toppings, and decorating on needed pastries and bread
Carrying out operations and productions that takes place in the kitchen
Baking recipes and preparing all desserts
General Oven Duties (Checking dough conditioner)
Preparing all needed materials and ingredients
Responsible for scaling and shaping of all breads, loaves, and pastries
Sanitization procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness of work station and kitchen
General knowledge of production methods and organization of bread production
Must be able to prioritize and finish all tasks assigned for the daily baking
Ensuring work place is safe and hygienic for all employees and guests
Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly and manage when food supplies are getting low
Complete various reports for records such as production, usage, and waste
Perform other related duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
Knowledge on food producing process, sanitization, quality program
Knowledge on food producing technique, food microbiology, and food sanitary safety practice/procedure
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Food safety, food labeling, nutrition related knowledge (include FDA)
Confectionery/Foods major recommended
Food Handler's Certificate, preferred
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task
Multiple priority management abilities

We are looking for a Bakery Operations Support Specialist to join our New Store Opening Support team. This role plays a key part in supporting the successful launch of new franchise bakery locations by providing hands-on assistance across cake, baking, and sandwich stations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site operational support for new store openings across baking, cake decoration, and sandwich preparation stations.
Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items including breads, pastries, cookies, and cakes according to company recipes and standards.
Assist with decorating cakes and other desserts to meet brand presentation guidelines.
Support local teams in implementing food safety protocols, quality standards, and hygiene practices.
Train and educate store bakery staff and kitchen managers on standard procedures and product quality expectations.
Monitor product quality and identify any issues during the store opening phase; escalate concerns and provide actionable recommendations.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment; ensure equipment is used and maintained properly.
Track and report store readiness, training progress, and QC metrics to the HQ team.
Conduct inventory checks of ingredients and supplies during the opening period; assist with placing initial orders.
Use basic computer tools (Excel or similar platforms) for data entry and reporting during store setup and opening.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a commercial bakery, pastry kitchen, or food service environment
Hands-on experience in baking, cake decoration, or sandwich preparation preferred
Understanding of basic food safety, hygiene standards, and quality control practices
Ability to travel frequently and support new store openings on-site (domestic travel required)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to train and support store-level staff
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with varying tasks
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data entry software
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends during store openings
