Bakery Clerk Careers

The size of the bakery you work in might influence your job responsibility, but your primary duties include greeting and establishing rapport with customers, taking and filling customer's bakery orders, operating cash registers and POS machines, and generally keeping the reception area tidy.

You must have sufficient upper body strength to lift large and heavy cakes and other baked goods and possess the skills needed to operate a cash register. A high school diploma will suffice for this role. The mean annual salary is $29,000.
