Lift Operator Job in Jacksonville, FL
Forklift Operators shall operate a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds about a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment.
The employee shall provide forklift services that include operation of forklift, tractors and trucks. Each assignment for pick-up or delivery of A/C parts, components, and materials shall be completed in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
The transportation of components services consists of forklifts moving large palletized A/C and engine parts, parts kits, components, and materials, including HAZMAT, among the facilities, shops, and stations. The employee shall perform these services continuously during normal work hours.
Forklift Operators shall load and unload from trucks and trailers (TRLs), to include lowboys, when large items are required IAW work assignments. These services include the operation of specialized high load GS forklifts at leased or owned FRCSE JAX locations.
The employee shall load and/or unload vehicles without assistance when required.
The employee shall load or unload vehicles on various levels other than ground level.
Required Experience, Training & Certifications:
Applicant must be physically able to operate various models of Forklifts
Past documented experience with handling Hazardous Material.
History of working in a well-structured industrial environment, a working knowledge of lean six sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.
Required Security Clearance Eligibility:
Applicant must be a US Citizen and able to pass a background check with the Department of Defense.
