Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows:
GL-5/GL-7 $49,739- $89,518 per year
Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12. Duties and Responsibilities

Typical assignments include:

Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university;OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: After you are hired, you will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, for approximately six (6) months of intensive instruction in immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement and USBP-specific operations, driver training, physical techniques, firearms, and other courses. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.

The purpose of the Fire Sprinkler Operations Manager position is to keep abreast of technology developments in their field, assisting with customer relations, product line enhancements and product service. Additionally, the Sprinkler Service Operations Manager is responsible for tracking budget and margin targets to meet profitability goals and coordinating the key activities of the field service activities along with key administrative duties. The Sprinkler Service Operations Manager is also responsible for adhering to SFS's quality program.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
* Manage the service field personnel as needed to build first class service team. Review all field employees at least annually. In cases where disciplinary action is required, suspensions and terminations are to be coordinated with the Service Manager.
* Review employee time sheets for accuracy. See that they are submitted on a timely basis to meet payroll deadline.
* Price repair, inspection, service, and all day work projects in accordance with SFS's tiered pricing structure.
* Ensure that service personnel respond to service calls and that sound processes are in place to respond to emergency calls 24 x 7 x 365.
* Ensure that all field employees understand SFS's safety policies. Ensure that safety toolbox talks are occurring at regular intervals and that, in conjunction with the Safety Manager that required safety training is completed.
* Schedule all field activities, using appropriate manpower planning tools. Assists when problems are encountered.
* Purchase or rent all equipment needed for each job and specific need.
* Ensure that all tools are maintained in proper working order. If damaged, ensure that tools are labeled indicating their status. New tool purchases are to be coordinated with the Service Manager. Ensure that each quarter, every foreman completes a tool inventory checklist and reports any lost or stolen tools.
* Visit job sites regularly and track margin on closed work; communicating between customer and field teams.
* Ensure that trucks are serviced regularly and a log turned in on a monthly basis. Service tickets are required to keep up with why and how trucks are being serviced. Vehicle mileage should be compared to service records.
* Vehicle repairs are not to be made without your consent. All major repairs over $100.00 need to have a written estimate first and approved before any work is done.
* Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Provides breastfeeding support to WIC participants and women in the parish community and facilitates links to medical support in the area of breastfeeding concerns as needed by WIC and non-WIC parish residents.
Plan and participate in surveys and participate provide communication to improve the nutrition and dietary components of assigned programs for the compliance with state and federal licensure and certification rules and regulations.
Network with other health professionals, such as private physicians/nurses, in the development and implementation of interagency information/referral systems to identify patients with nutritional problems and needs.
Utilize evidence-based practice in research and development of current concepts in nutrition and nutritional education.
Utilize appropriate time management skill in conducing appointments to ensure everyone is seen in a timely manner.
Maintain schedules and prepare reports and correspondences related to duties performed as requested and/or noted in WIC policy and procedures.
Coordinate a wide range of health education service, including establishing effective referral and publicity systems, monitoring quality and documentation, providing scheduling and logistical support and facilitating use of community services to promote cost-effective health education services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Assist the Dredging Operator with removing sand, gravel, or other accumulated sediment with a dredge.
Assist the Dredging Operator with operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredging.
Using various ropes, knots and radio and navigational equipment
Lowers and mans lifeboat in case of emergencies
Act as lookout and maintain watch on deck and for dredge plant.
Handle deck-based dredge plant and operate deck machinery.
Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
Preparing cabins for crew
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
Mange house keeping activities when requested.
Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment

THE OPPORTUNITY
Louisiana Cat is seeking a Parts Warehouse -Core Processing Specialist to join our growing operations at the Morgan City, LA location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Receive, inspect, and process used cores
Occasional deliveries to Terrebonne/Lafourche/Lafayette
Pull stock orders for customers, technicians, and other stores
Check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities
Receive merchandise and stock shelves
Participate in physical inventory counts
Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning each day
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
Understanding of inventory allocation and control
Ability to verify shipments and reconcile discrepancies
Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures
Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills for working with internal departments and external customers
Experience pulling, stocking, and organizing parts or merchandise preferred
Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer data entry preferred
Parts experience, especially in a warehouse, stockroom setting is preferred

Pipe Welder
Morgan City, LA
A welder is either qualified through training/testing or certified to the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standards, based on classification level, to join metal together in varying positions/orientation through the use of one or many welding processes via manual, semi-automatic, or automatic equipment. Entry classified welders assist in layout and fabrication of various assemblies constructed of plate, structural, or pipe using quality temporary tack welding and under the supervision of a fitter. Higher level classified welders read and interpret welding symbols on engineering drawings and based on this information, properly prepare and weld joints contained within various assemblies constructed of plate, structural, or pipe. Higher classified welders also participate in quality and regulatory inspections and conduct required repairs. All welders conduct a 100% quality inspection of their work to ensure it meets engineering requirements and make repairs as needed. The Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on pipes and other components within a shipyard environment.
Duties and responsibilities
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required for job and classification.
Comprehend blueprints, sketches, welding procedures, and templates.
Effectively read and use tape measure and other required measuring devices.
Effectively read and use weld gauges to inspect weld quality.
Pass entry level welding test or ABS certification test, depending on classification and welding process.
Proficient in one or many of the following welding processes; SMAW, FCAW,
FCAW-G, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, A-CAG, BW, STUD
Perform pipe welding tasks using techniques such as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) on various pipe materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy metals.
Weld pipes in various positions (e.g., horizontal, vertical, overhead) to ensure strong, leak-proof joints.
Cut, fit, and align pipe sections to be welded, ensuring accuracy and adherence to blueprints, sketches, and work instructions.
Properly setup welding power supply and other related equipment
Effectively use joint preparation tools and equipment, such as grinders and needle guns
Effectively use pre and post heat tools and equipment, such as handheld torches and Tempil ™ sticks or IR temperature measurement sensors, when required.
Control essential welding variables to produce quality welds.
Based on classification, be proficient in manual, semi-automatic, and/or automatic welding equipment
Enter and work in internally confined spaces wearing appropriate PPE.
Manipulate and transport loads of up to 50 pounds.
Assess work environment for safety hazards, and take appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and co-workers.
Traverse gangways, ladders, and scaffolding at varying heights.
Traverse and negotiate uneven heights and surfaces.
Ascend and work at elevated heights.
Conduct other duties as assigned.

Be capable of repetitive forward bending and rotation of the trunk and flexing of the hips and knees.
Be capable of repetitive upper extremity movements while conducting work activities.
Working Conditions
Work is outdoors. There is no air conditioning or heating.
