This position will be based out of our Macedon, NY facility. This role is for 2nd shift (4PM-12:30AM) with flexibility required for training. WHAT WE NEED The QA Analyst is responsible for performing analytical testing using established methodologies in support of finished goods, in-process items and equipment swabbing to ensure all products are in compliance with food safety and quality specifications. The QA Analyst will utilize approved laboratory techniques and perform complex calculations to ensure accurate results are delivered in a timely manner. WHAT YOU WILL DO Performs Pre-Operational Inspections Performs perfect package checks on applicable productions lines and reports any issues to QA management Verifies food safety preventive controls are in place and operating properly Supports and educates team members on food safety responsibilities and good manufacturing procedures Conducts data analysis to identify trends and patterns. Leads continuous improvement efforts and projects Performs microbiological swabs as needed Places all non-conforming products on hold, troubleshoots and works with leadership to investigate, determine root cause, and identify non-conforming product range Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of production lines and process flows to troubleshoot production issues with appropriate parties to minimize downtime Identifies areas to reduce waste, rework, and other inefficiencies with a focus on continuous process improvement Performs Internal Audits of facility, process and programs Acts as a backup to Quality Technicians as needed WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required . AAS or Bachelor's degree is preferred. 3-5 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience in a highly regulated environment such as food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is strongly preferred. HAACP training strongly preferred. Ability to speak effectively with groups of employees throughout the organization as this position requires routinely writing reports & corresponding to all levels of plant personnel. Ability to stand for extended period of time Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time without aid. WHAT WE NEED The Assistant Production Operator (APO) is our entry-level production role, and the first step to a successful career at Baldwin Richardson Foods! Works closely with the production planning team to order bulk ingredients to support the production schedule, monitors bulk tanks and reschedules as needed. WHAT YOU WILL DO Performs in-house testing, following standard operating procedures, to accurately verify that the product meets specifications and quality standards. Following the EUP for unloading materials, ensures all materials are loaded into the correct tanks by double checking all paperwork and verifying the accurate use of the inbound hookups. Works with production planning team, the production team, and the inventory control team on a regular basis to order, schedule and reschedule bulk materials to ensure their availability in order to accommodate the production schedule. Monitors and records daily bulk tank levels and coordinates needed CIPs with the sanitation team. Provides backup to the other Production teams when not performing bulk unloading activities. Following the appropriate EUPs, enters receipts and analytical data obtained from the bulk testing, into SAP-- Insuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitors Tanks & Pumps conditions, places work orders with maintenance if repairs are needed. Be aware of UV's & Filters, change filters as required, and brings any issues to maintenance attention. Always keeps the outdoor areas and bulk areas clean and audit ready as evidenced by plant quality audit results. ≥95% GMP audit results for the Bulk Unloading area. Timely identification of equipment repair needs and submission of repair tickets as necessary. Effective communications to the maintenance team any issues that are observed. Maintenance of the Bulk Unloading area as demonstrated by the Food Safety Audit results for the area. Familiar with HMI software and communication protocols. Familiarity with Fillers, Cappers, Case Packers, conveyors, tanks, and pumps.
